This game is a great matchup. My gut tells me Big Ben has something to prove to a national audience. Big motivation. Brees does seem a bit off but is still a great QB. With A.Smith out, the big question is if Ziggy Hood steps up and proves he can be a starter. Run defense crucial in this game for Pitt...fast track. Smith has been the best DE without recognition in the NFL for quite some time and hurts the Steelers not in the lineup. With the line so close, it comes down to who you think will win. The Steelers safety is key in this game. How effective will Bush be? 2nd consecutive road game for Pitt, 2nd home for N.O. One team may win by just 3. Take the better defense.

I'm a Steeler fan, and know this team very well, but this will be the 1st-time that I'm actively betting against them.

The Saints, in my view, are going to win this game, and convincingly so.

Pitt all the way. Last week, the Steelers brought their D-game and still won in fairly dominant fashion. I like Ben with one extra week of working himself back into game speed as well as guys like Harrison one more week removed from his $75k fine and getting the feel of not taking people's heads off or at least not quite so bad. The Saints are banged up and are not playing like Super Bowl champs right now, there's maybe even still some value left in fading the champs because people still see them as the champs. Don't forget, these Steelers are the champs one year removed with an entire offseason to think about it.

That's a bad way to think about it. When was the last time an average joe public person bet on a game the day the line comes out. They usually wait until like an hour to 10 mins before gametime.

I was on the Steel but I'm now with the Saints even though they are obviously far from peak form. Think the loss of PITT's Smith on defense puts a huge hurt on them that isn't correctly factored into the odds (PITT is 7-7 without Smith since 2007). Cheers and good luck.

Saints ain't right and won't be correcting anytime soon. Fairytales never repeat. Lions can score this year and have played very solid and extremely well. Pitts and Lions are diffently great bets.

the nfl is fickle. you think a road team should win easily against a team that plays well at home (in a dome). Should be a great game, but don't be shocked if the steelers lose this game by 4. Will be a good game to watch.
