Long time lurker first time poster. Figured I'd mention I got the Steelers (-3) +105 locked in last night at a local casino in Lima. Gonna try and find 3 other games to bet. Good luck to everyone.

LOL @ calling this a lock. Sounds like an uneducated better. Your last lock wasn't even closes to a lock, and was in fact lucky.

The Pittsburgh Steelers rank 31st in the NFL in offense
Take away Mendenhall's 50 yard TD run in overtime, and he is averaging 3.15 yards per carry
Charlie Batch's last game where he actually played a majority: 2007 week 17 vs. a 5-10 Baltimore team

The Steelers "could" win this game, but it is no where even close to a lock. The Bucs have just as much chance to win this game as the Steelers do.

I said it in the other thread, the line is so low because Leftwich is not 100% and that's why he isn't starting. If you lose Batch for any reason you are left with Leftwich as the only QB who is not 100% or else he would be starting. This equals one thing, lots of RUNNING the ball. You can't afford for Batch to throw the ball much and take the change he gets . Look at last week's performance with a total of 43 total yards passing with 25 from Batch on 5 of 11 passing. Expect the same this week and thus the low line. 127 yards of total offense by the Steelers is not going to win many games and their defense can't come up with 7 TOs each week.

Take the under for sure.

The Steelers were the Play of the Year so far. Batch was #2 last year but got hurt, those other 2 clowns have never accomplished anytrhing. Way to go Steelers

Thanks again guys.. Charlie batch put in work. I saw him play years ago as well as recently in the preseason and i always wondered why mike tomlin had him as 4th string.. Dixon and leftwich have nothin on batch.. Steelers exploded in this one. Defense was super solid as i expected. Steelers-Ravens is going to be interesting to watch next week with the #1 and #2 defenses in the league but it's a game i will not touch, not even the under.

I got another lock coming tommorow for college football.. I'm working on the write up.. It's one of those games nobody's lookin at and most people won't be able to watch on TV but it might just be easier than the steelers was..

Fortune was not with Aqib Talib during the game, though.

That being said, perhaps the future iterations of this type of thread could be called your "surest plays of the week." This was a sloppy game that Pittsburgh came out on top of due to hustle, and preparation meeting opportunity ("luck").
