the sports bars at 4th floor mall of america all shut down shortly after the indoor smoking ban went into affect like 4 years ago. i moved out of there 2 yrs ago so i dont really know the spots anymore but if youre in minneapolis for a twins or vikings game, the bars around the stadiums might be a good place to look.. or the bars in dinkytown before/after gopher events

There used to be alot of old school ones right where I lived in the boonies but sh%t happened.The state is a bitch where they trat bookies wors than drug dealer and thy relentlessly go after them for back taxes and fines.The state feels that no one offering better odds should compete against the lottery and ripoff charitable pull tabs in the bars.Then there are alot of Indian casinos and they have lobbyists that support the democrats-unions and the cops and legal system protect the casinos turf.The feminist groups hold alot of clout here and they are screaming all the time how the bread winner-husband slaves are losing money gambling and they could care less if it's at the Indian casinos,Canterbury race track-poker room.They are out to get the local bookies.Young guys I worked with down through the years have little interest in sports betting and it's weird.

My brotherinlaw knows everyone into any type of gambling from poker to sportsbetting in the twin cities and he used to book a mill a week in the 70's-80's and quit in 90 and he said he was a small bookie.Too many people he knew that booked were getting nabbed and he figured he had to protect his assets so he quit.He plays decent stakes poker at home games against lots of lobbyists and democrat politicians.Talk about hypocrites.He plays at Canterbury and Running Aces track-poker rooms too.Oh ya,the state sends their goons out to bust up home poker games too here.

talk, and find the locals info.

I living about 3 blocks from there for about 9 years.

I remember Max McGee had a bar just off the outskirts of DT Mpls
where you could get a bet in at any time....the bar had a huge football
sticking out of the roof.....
