Who do you think are tougher - soccer or hockey players?

I'd challenge anybody to play just 30 minutes, soccer requires the highest levels of fitness and strength and the tackles make the game brutal. I wonder how many guys have seen bad tackles in the game, guys legs snapped in an instant, guys careers ended in a second. So many players never make it because of injuries, toughness is not a bragging right the authorities try to curb dirty side of soccer not promote it. The fights in hockey are like a show for the crowd, when there are fights on a soccer pitch the supporters can end up storming the pitch and getting involved in the brawl aswell.

Pavy can you imagine if we took guys who think soccer is a kids game to a Olympiacos PAOK derby in Greece, or a Galatasaray Fenerbahce derby in Turkey, the old firm derby in Scotland, the Fla-Flu in Brazil, Boca-River in Argentina.... I guarantee most guys would sh*t themselves and have never experienced that kind of atmosphere. The stuff I've seen at games would shake up the toughest guys.

If you take Red Wings or Leafs fans to a PAOK or Fener derby they will piss in their pants.

So now we've gone to a boxing ring? You throw Shaq into a boxing ring (basketball player, not typically considered a tough guy's sport) and he annihilates just about anybody and everybody. So now basketball is a tough guy's sport, right? You see how idiotic that sounds?

Let's say you've NEVER played either sport before. Let's say you HAD to play one game of hockey or one game of soccer, and your PRIMARY CONCERN was your safety. You aren't playing for any enjoyment or pleasure. Now, if you wanted to come out unharmed, which sport do you choose? Which sport is SAFER?

Soccer players get kicked in the nuts, kicked with studs on the legs and ribs leaving stud marks, cut both eyebrows from head butts, break legs, blow knees, dislocate shoulders and many other horrific injuries. But hockey people argument is that soccer players are all faking and falling on the ground which is not true if you ever played the game. Soccer does not allow fighting and if fighting was allowed like in hockey you will see black eyes and broken teeth like in hockey.

Read the title of this thread... I'm not taking about soccer players not getting "credit" for being tough.

If you actually think that the average soccer player is tougher than the average hockey player, you seriously need to get your head checked sir. Also I'm pretty sure more players have died playing soccer than hockey. Hockey is a really tough sport, so is soccer. The difference is hockey doesn't have that many little fags rolling on the ground for no reason.

If we compare soccer fans to hockey fans then it's not even close though, soccer fans by far!
