    Arizona Coyotes

Residents of Tempe voted against building/developing a new stadium/entertainment complex. This is semi surprising as the ownership group planned to pay the majority of it and the area could use development. Where do they land? Time is up in the desert.

Gary Bettman will exhaust every avenue to keep the team in Arizona. Bribe the people at Gila Arena. Anything. They won't relocate until 2024-25 at the earliest. Houston, Kansas City, even Milwaukee fits nicely in that central division. Bettman would love to see the energy from those cities that Las Vegas and Seattle showed.

It wouldn't shock me if the franchise went dormant for a year or two (maybe that's the same as playing Tempe)!

But know this for my friends north of the border, they are not coming there. The markets aren't big enough and it throws alignment all off, in Bettman's eyes. The ONLY way Quebec City gets an NHL franchise is if Ottawa major-ly screws up. Hamilton not in the picture, runs into some of the same territorial BS that Milwaukee runs into with Chicago. And no, Toronto isn't getting a second franchise.
