How to get notification/email when subscribed to a thread?

LK, hit the "Thread Tools" and it will give you the choice to subscribed on the thread to whatever options you wanted.

Doesn't work. I click on thread tools and choose subscribe, and then choose instant email notification and I never get a email.

I check my spam too. Nothing, I get nothing.

I even notice little green mark in the forum saying I'm subscribed, but I never get notified.

LK, I had the same issue and I believe the following to be true...

If you happen be logged in to SBR and are viewing any other threads, you will not get email updates on the threads you subscribe to. I think the system thinks that since you are already logged in, you don't need the email updates since you likely have looked at those subscribed threads already.

I believe, to get email updates on subscribed threads, you have to be logged out for a period of time when those threads are updated.
(i.e. if you are on SBR a lot, you won't get email updates)...

Then again, I may be completely mistaken.

I'll log out from mobile, tablet and laptop.
I've always wondered if it was something in my overall general settings. But I've checked and doesn't seem to be anything toggled or checked/unchecked that would deny getting emails.
Over the years I always get emails for invites to contests, and other miscellaneous stuff.
But whenever I subscribe to a thread and choose email notifications, I never get any.

I can't log out. On mobile at very top of screen I tap logout and page just refreshes and I'm still logged in
I tap three dots and select desktop site - on right hand column under my handle I choose logout and get a pop-up and confirm "ok" - page refreshes and I'm still logged in. ��

This is so bizarre.
I can't log out with this phone. I don't get it.
I would think chrome is the same across all my devices.
I logged out on laptop and old tablet, but can't get logged out on this phone

Is the email address in your profile a valid address? If you set it up years ago, it might be an old one.

Yay! I got emails a few minutes ago.

edit: apparently i received a couple about 21-22 hours ago, but those went to spam. Looks like they're all from same email handle.

I'm just glad to know this system finally is working for me.

For years I would subscribe to threads and never get anything, so i'd just unsubscribe.
