All I know is I'm on the White Sox Over 9.5 today. Cashed a big Over vs KC on Saturday. They're 5-1 Over against everyone else besides Cleveland.

As far as the Cubs goes....how do they let Castellanos go to my Reds? He's not only a good hitter, but a team leader as well. He has some fire that teams need! In the last few years Cubs management added Darvish and the washed up closer....thats it?

Fans have been overflowing at Wrigley forever and thats the best they can do? Piss poor and I wouldn't be coming back to Wrigley in protest if I was a Cubs fan. Thats pathetic! It is almost like the 85 Bears. They should've won 3 SBs, but Halas was too cheap to pay anyone or even find a decent backup QB

Cubs never have shit in the minors either. I never understood why they let Soler walk? He killed it in the playoffs when he was young. If a 23-24 yr old kid can beat up playoff pitching then how do you give up on him?

Cubs were already over first level of luxury tax with impending arbitration heading into off season. They couldn't afford any free agents really, let alone what Castellanos would command. They knew he was a rental

They didn't give up on Soler, they didn't let him "walk" they needed a premiere bullpen arm and they had to give up value to get value in Wade Davis. When you are close to competing for a WS ring in a window you gotta roll the dice and gamble away your future for the present sometimes..

Ricketts doesn't like to lose money. Team could go on the block. Wouldn't surprise me. Maybe should let his good buddy trump have a rally there.

They have very little help on horizon in the minor leagues

    Decline

    Luis Robert or Nick Madrigal?

Also yes the cubs are on the decline, had bullpen issues last year and did nothing to address them in the offseason. That will ultimately be their downfall this year. The cubs players themselves have compared this season to the Bulls last dance season. That franchise under achieved in my honest opinion and Theo Epstein is to blame. So many bad trades.

Hoerner I think he is. Good player.

I just don't see a decline here w Rizzo, Baez, Bryant, Shwarber and Contrares behind the dish.

They always buy their pitching, and if they get production from a 1st or 2nd year player at any position they're in great shape.

Jose Abreu has come to the plate with a whopping 44 men on base this year.

    21 on 1st
    13 on 2nd
    10 on 3rd

Many of them very, very fast people.

He has driven in six of those 44. Six.

He's still tied for the team lead in RBI. When people tell you not to look at RBI, this is why.

Not sure I follow this one. He's using a 12 game sample size to either say abreu sucks or rbi don't matter??? Abreu led the league in RBI last year, has been a 100+ rbi guy each and every healthy year of his career, and has batted over .300 lifetime with guys on base

just remember that teams are never as good as they appear in the midst of their hot streaks

and not as bad as they appear in the slumps.

Sox bats have been white hot on fire, hitting 27 home runs in 7 games

but they still are only in 3rd place in their division

big game tonight and the next two for the White Sox against the twins

but do they really want the #1 seed for the playoffs? currently that would make their first round matchup the Cleveland Indians

    Guys, they're 19-2 vs Det/ KC

12-14 versus rest of MLB that includes a lot of games versus Brewers, Cards and Pit. All bad teams.

They aren't going anywhere. Fun to watch, lots of potential, but just hot for a month, that's all

got a 100 dollar bet to win 2500 with a huge cub homer fan friend

White Sox win 20 more games than the Cubs this year.

gotta love hugh +EV bets with fanboys that don't understand gambling

I guess I should have tried to get a 10 more wins bets for something like +500 too or something

I'm not sure what baseball you're watching but Cubs aren't going to be sub .500 for a long time, that's all you need in NL Central.
