    Rest in peace to one of my heroes, Kobe Bean Bryant.

    Having been at SBR for a decade, you guys know how much I admire Kobe Bryant. He's done so much for the game of basketball, but has extended his reach far outside of it, too. Kobe's mamba mentality, which you can read about in his book, can be applied to all of our lives, no matter what field we're in.

    Kobe has made mistakes in his life, as we all have. But the good he has done for the world has far outweighed the bad. People ask me why I'm so sad that Bryant died when people die everyday. Those people don't have the impact on the world that Bryant did.

    Those people don't inspire a generation.

    Bryant was truly a pioneer, on and off the court.

    His death is a huge loss for our world.

    Be the best version of yourself.

    Be better today than you were yesterday.

    I love you Kobe.

    this was a beautiful post goatie and I know how much you’ve always loved him... sometimes to the detriment of your bank account

    let’s all honour him by cherishing those close to us just a little bit more

    if we knew tomorrow was the last day we’d have with them gosh wouldn’t we squeeze and kiss them to death

    maybe we should start pretending it’s like that every day

    But didn't he diddle that bellhop's butthole?

    That erases at least 2 NBA championships according to the KenPom Karma algorithmic formula.

    Naw, it looks like the mob has already designated you enemy #1 which creates a nice buffer for me to lob a few shots from the shadows with little to no backlash. I'm playing with house money now.

    Haha go for it brother!! I’m more than happy to cop the backlash.

    three days from now they’ll all be saying “Kobe who?” Yet today I’m the big bitch from Bitchville.

    I don’t mind... great numbers for posts and engagement on the forum so if they want to drool and fake cry over a man they never knew I’m all for it!

    Imagine if Trump tweeted what Shari said hours after Kobe‘s death. Would we respect his opinion ? No the penetrating guy would get automatically impeached

    This will be a moment I will never forget, and I think the news is actually just getting started. He will be immortalized in American history. The game of basketball cannot be written without his name. This is truly unprecedented in the world of sports -- a player of this calliber and magnitute.

    If I'm ever fortunate to make it to senior citizen age, I will still remember this day as a day that shook the world. It feels eerily similar to 9/11, in terms of the global impact.

    How I feel cannot be taken from me by someone else's opinion on whether or not we should be grieving.

    Kobe Bryant had a huge impact on my life, even though I never knew him.

    That's the beauty of who he was.

    He had a lot to offer.

    The impact he had is immeasurable. What happened to him is unthinkable.

    If the entire world is in tears, then what does that say about Kobe Bryant?

    I already miss his wisdom.

    I'm a clipper fan since 1984 when they moved to LA. loved the magic Johnson teams of the 80s but rooted incessantly against kobe. I was a hater. Then in his last 5 years I realized how I missed watching his greatness. Started to long for those good ole days.

    Today I am absolutely devastated to hear he has died.

    C'mon man, you know damn well Kobe's life equals roughly 3000 lives of ordinary citizens.

    You're in your early/mid 20s. You don't know what 9/11 was like. Call me insane, call me whatever, your opinion is irrelevant to me.

    Well while you're at it you may as well compare Kobe's death to the Hindenburg, the Titanic, the Holocaust... Strike while the iron's hot.

    ~~~~~
    Tears falling down my cheeks as I read this homage to Kobe Bryant.
    Why, Oh Why, would Kobe's great thoughts and future unspoken wisdom
    be ripped out from under us??
    What future tomes of wisdom would have sprung from The Genius of Lower Marion High School??
    Aristotle, Kant, Hume, Rousseau and Sartre tremble at what could have been the earth-shaking revelations in the unpenned, Sagacity of Mamba.
    Goaty...Cancel your philosopher-of-the-month-club subscription.
    Bryant was due to release more wisdom in two months...one month after the club's reprint of the
    much maligned, "My Life As A Clown", by John Wayne Gacy.
    Alas, there is nothing on the horizon.
    Mamba mentality...be a dick to everybody around you, but its cool long as you win.
    Friend about Kyrie skipping the Knicks game to mourn, "He obviously doesn't have the mamba mentality".
    RIP. Was enjoying him more in retirement.
