it makes a shorter series for sure. klay can't run thru screens with hamstring issue and get as open.

Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant will not play in Game 4 of the NBA Finals because of the calf injury that has sidelined him for nearly a month, but Klay Thompson is expected to return Friday for Golden State.
The Warriors initially had been hopeful that Durant would participate in a scrimmage Thursday -- a potential precursor to his return to games.
But the team's training staff was not comfortable allowing Durant to play the scrimmage, according to coach Steve Kerr.
Kerr acknowledged that he likely misspoke Wednesday when he said he believed Durant would play in the scrimmage, but insisted that Durant has not suffered a setback.
"There was no setback," Kerr said. "I was hoping today would be the day he'd get back on the floor. It's not going to be today."
The Warriors received more positive news regarding Thompson, who missed their Game 3 loss Wednesday night because of a hamstring injury.
Kerr said that "barring something unforeseen," Thompson will play in Game 4 as the Warriors attempt to even their series with the Toronto Raptors at 2-2.

Will be an all out type effort from Warriors in Game 4. They still might steal the win (strange to say for a 5 pt favourite).
In any case, getting 5 pts with the better team still looks to be the bet.

Calf strain injuries linger, not surprising to see.. He could be out the rest of the way, even when the calf feels better you begin to run hard and it can strain all over again.. Same with Klay and his Hammy strain.. Those 2 injuries you just don't bounce right back from and you can't play thru them either..
KD screwed, Klay yet to be seen.. I could see Klay starting in the next game and re-injuring it.
This is all good news for the Raptors!!!

If Thompson is back and plays the entire game Warriors will rebound hard and probably win.. I'm not assuming anything!!! Rebound games at home for Warriors are scary.. Originally Posted by cyclingbettor
