I think Mike used like 2-3 years worth of data. That's hardly enough

Few weeks ago radio guys were talking about leading division at 1st of May, went back further and was still a fairly high rate of making the playoffs. Point is these games count just the same as games later in the year. You just trying to get to a certain amount of wins, if you pile them up early it makes getting there easier.

Oh yeah the games count the same. Mike was mentioning that he is going to the Brewers game today and called it meaningless lol. The irony was funny

To me the bullpen is definitely the Twins weak point.
He learned how to throw a cutter, along with much better location. Not sure about the juice.

The Twins already have hit 100 home runs on the season, seven of which have been hit by Nelson Cruz. Cruz was born in 1980...the 1980 Twins hit 99 home runs all year.

The Twins have hit 100 home runs
    (and counting) in 50 games.

The 1999 Mariners are the only other team with 100+ homers through 50 games of a season. They hit 102.

Twins are red hot. Probably finish in 1st ahead of Cleveland. Cleveland loses too many games by their inability to score runs. Twins obviously have no problem out slugging anyone.

The Twins are nowhere to be contenders in the playoffs.

The Twins are the 1st AL team to reach 40 wins. The Twins are the 1st team outside the AL East to win a series vs. Tampa Bay. Tired of the “who have they played” narrative.

They, like lots of others, could use more pitching. Interested to see how the bidding for Keuchel and Kimbrel plays out.

    TWINS TWINS TWINS
Smiling and laughing are great for the healing process
and BIGDAY has to be grinning from ear to ear.

After their sweep of the Rays the TWINS are 40-18 almost .700 baseball.
Stunning to me...never saw that train coming down the track.

NYY's are nothing to sneeze at either ...38-20 at .655 with such important players as Severino,
Stanton, Judge and Gregorious on the IL.
    Kudos to Aaron Boone.

Laughter is great medicine no doubt.

I like the Twins but I don’t think they have much of a chance against the Astros or Yankees come playoff time.

I like Polanco and Rossario, Cruz too

They simply don’t have the starting pitching

Maybe if they trade for MadBum and Patrick Corbin

I would like to see them winning but America just doesn’t let small cities win championships in pro sports

You gotta be in Boston, NY, or LA to win in sports

That or have a natural disaster like the hurricane in New Orleans or Houston then it’s okay for them to win.

Berrios is legit, kid has nasty stuff just be a question if he has the mental makeup for that stage?

Honestly I think they need to add 1 stud to be right there with the big dogs. The 3 guys they have pitching out of nowhere great years I think 2 of them can be your 3rd and 4th and give you a chance. I don’t think kuechal is that guy either, If I was them I’d do everything I could to get madbum and pen help (they need some help in pen maybe more than starter). They do that they can play with anyone imo.

They are about the same record on the road as at home. Thanks to grass at home - helps them play on grass away.

I think of their park as more pitcher friendly so pretty impressive the way they mashing. I think that park plays fair at least if not big doesn’t it?? Especially when it cold which the 1st several months. I cant believe those geniuses didn’t put a retractable roof on that bitch! Not only for early in year but if they go deep into the playoffs it a potential nightmare!! I get it, I prefer open air stadiums but you gotta have option for roof when you play in the freaking arctic!!! Lol
