    Well since they have to pretend to care about juicing players they had to do something to keep up the scoring. No one gets excited about watching pitching duels every night.

    you have an obsession with championships. those are something that happens at the end of a season. no one watches or goes to games worrying and wondering about whether or not their team is fit and ready to win a championship. they want to be entertained from the 1st game of a season and throughout. fans seem to like hr's and 3's. whether it's the right approach to win one of those championships or not isn't why they go.
