Kendrick is done for season. No eta on Eaton. Robles not ready and trash on the 40 man. I think he’ll get his shot.

OK I did not realize Kendrick was out for the year, all I saw was that he went on the DL and I did not know extent. In that case it is probably Soto's job to lose.

If they were all in they should have traded Soto or Robles for JT Realmuto. Would be a huge upgrade at catcher.

Juan Soto was Baseball America's number 56 prospect this year

the kid has 31 ab's above A ball level.

              zero AAA Ab's

I can't see this being very long time

                Correct.

And from everything I’ve read, they think he’s too good for a straight up trade for JT Realmuto who’s good for a 3+ WAR every year.

JT realmuto has become the most overrated player in the sport.

I heard they wanted acuna from the braves for him.

He is a good player but teams would be crazy to give up the top prospect in their organization for him.

Juan Soto is not an over pay for a proven MLB commodity.

3+ WAR catchers don’t fall from the sky.

                            Especially for the Nats.

Some more recent lists have him as high as #2 overall behind Vlad Jr

Razzball has him pretty high. 2nd overall. Soto has rocketed up the charts. Robles has gotten dinged because of his injury. He missed his chance for most of this year

Juan Soto hit his 13th home run of the season tonight, tying Mickey Mantle in 1951 for the 5th-most by a teenager in a single season in MLB history.

Only Tony Conigliaro, Bryce Harper, Mel Ott and Ken Griffey Jr. have more.

Juan Soto has homered in three straight games.

Thanks to Elias Sports, we know that he's the first teenager to do that since Jimmy Sheckard for the Brooklyn Bridegrooms ... in 1898!

The Nationals had a 21-year old hit a game-tying HR in the 9th inning (Robles) & a 20-year old hit a go-ahead HR in the 10th (Soto). It's the 1st time in MLB modern era that a team had 2 different players under the age of 22 hit game-tying & go-ahead HRs in the 9th inning or later.

might've been a blessing in disguise to lose Harper.

this kid is Soto is for real. Robles too.
