Greg Hardy Will Make UFC Professional Debut
About two-and-a-half years after he last played in the NFL, Greg Hardy, the controversial former All-Pro defensive end, will be making his professional debut in UFC, according to a report from Dave Doyle of MMA Fighting.

Hardy is set for a heavyweight matchup against Brandon Sayles on June 12, as a part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series, Doyle reports.

"Hardy, who trains with American Top Team, has a 3-0 record as an amateur, with all three victories coming by way of knockout in under two minutes," said Doyle.

Hardy, who is only 29-years-old, had his NFL career ended prematurely due to a slew of off the field problems, including charges of domestic violence in 2014. Following the charges, Hardy signed with the Dallas Cowboys but only lasted one year with the team in a stint that was marked with disciplinary issues and further off-the-field controversies. He was later arrested on a charge of cocaine possession in 2016.

^^ Pro football players often become very good MMA fighters.. Not surprising to see... Linebackers and running backs especially..

Herschel Walker was kicking MMA ass in his 50's. I saw those 2 fights of his and he was good, dominate.... Scary to think how good he could have been in his 20's and 30's..

Was 54 years old in these pictures below.. Stacked...

guess that depends on your definition of often and very good, cause it's never happened in reality

Walker was probably the biggest athletic freak in fb history, so he got to get wins over guys with less training than me

Schaub is the biggest brain dead jerkoff i've ever heard speak and retired due to sucking too bad and getting knocked even more retarded

If Greg Hardy fights his way into a UFC contract, one of the biggest stars in his division wants a piece of the ex-NFL star ... with Derrick Lewis saying, "I like knocking wife beaters out."
Hardy is reportedly getting his shot during the UFC Contender Series -- in which up-and-coming MMA fighters compete for a chance at a UFC contract. It's where UFC star Sean O'Malley got his start.
Hardy (who's 3-0 as an amateur) would obviously compete in the heavyweight division -- where Derrick "The Black Beast" Lewis is ranked #6 in the world.
So, how does Lewis feel about a potential showdown somewhere down the line?
"He's a wife beater ... I'd like to get in there with him."
Lewis is referring to Hardy's domestic violence case -- in which he was initially convicted of attacking his then-girlfriend. The conviction was later thrown out when the alleged victim stopped cooperating with prosecutors.
Still, Lewis ain't letting Hardy off the hook.
"I'll fight Greg Hardy ... It'll be like vice versa him beating on a woman. I'll be beating him like he was a woman."
