Thorp made casinos a fortune. Tons of people tried and lost their shirts.

A sad story - I wanted to teach a card-counting class. I had one prerequisite - you had to answer this question correctly: "What is 2% of 200?" Fewer than 1 in 10 people got it right.

How many people did Thorp screw over. Probably the very same people that introduced him to blackjack and taught him everything he knew. But he's the big shot. Btw, I'm not convinced Justin will be releasing anything too worthwhile.

          C) He think that direct profits from the book will offset losses to his bottom line?

          D) He does not believe the book will actually hurt his bottom line betting-wise?

          E) He believes he will profit indirectly from writing the book which will offset direct losses to his bottom line - ie through speaking fees, contacts, investors, consulting, etc etc.

          F) He doesn't care if markets get less beatable, he'll just go do something else to make money if he has to and can't do it from betting anymore, like being a lawyer or an actuary or whatever?

          Gotta be E, right?
          D. He's trying to help people, but he's not going to give away every piece of valuable he has. My guess is there won't be much in there that isn't out here on the forums, but it's just be compiled more neatly and explain better.

I thought about writing a book too; then I realized even if I put all my cool stuff into it, not 10 people would buy it because the math is not graspable by more than 2% of the betting population, and then this sh*t is so dry and takes so much time, by page 50 they've have given up.

The really good stuff is a bitch to make work.

So, if whatever Justin puts into the book is understandable and workable, it ain't that good.

BetPhoenix offers many beatable items for many months. Justin starts thread about their "money leaks" (specifics aren't necessary). Richard reads SBR everyday. These bets go away 10 seconds later. Coincidence? Perhaps.

How many books are now still offering +180 on 3 team NFL teasers? It's shrinking by the week.
