I'm getting serious about writing my book...
During the day, you typically have 1-3 "peak hours". When you're at your best mentally. You can drudge through stuff as long as you want, but good creative work is very demanding... So I'm spending 1 of my peak hours writing (and I have been the last couple months).

I sometimes have a warped perspective of what people want to know, or how easy/difficult different topics are. With that in mind...

Are there any topics you want covered? And would you consider that a beginner, intermediate or advanced topic?

I'm trying very hard not to suck. If you make money at this, it's all 80% quantitative which is terribly dry... So I'm using a mix of about 40% basic quant trading, 25% "stories on point" that I think are interesting or funny, and about 35% on in-depth modeling.

Any other thoughts on what you'd want to see in it?

I'd like to see a debunking of the myth that all books do is seek a balance of money on both sides of all games. Maybe some information about how to sniff out fishy lines and line movement. Stories on point about that, etc.

You don't have to write it. Just voice record it while you watch internet porn.

              Durito,

Seriously. Has anything I've written or put in video cost you money? It's a fine line to walk, but I try not to cross it unless it's already "way out in the open".

Can't wait to read this part. Your sense of humor is an amazing thing to behold. Should be the best part of the book.

You should include a section where you do basic math and stats problems and lessons. Give some practice questions. For the more advance math readers, they can skip this whole section. Otherwise with out this section, many readers will be lost.

No, more than likely the opposite.

Justin, don't take this out of context but maybe you could consider handling the Intelligent portion of your book and have JJ and Bread co-author the good stuff (the stuff that sells).

Sure you would have to share the limelight but the final product could be legendary.

I don't get what there is to write about, unless you're going to do all of the work for everyone. And what do you get out of it? Don't tell me you're another Fishhead who NEEDS attention...

Tell people to take a stats class and figure the shit out on their own like the rest of us. Fuk spoon feeding these fuks.

Contacts... information that I can exploit in sports betting. A lot of people write me now with questions. In the last week, I've had perhaps 10 players and 2 sportsbooks write me. 3 weeks ago, a player gave me some info worth about 100k EV/year.

                                Stat book. Pure stats? *yawn*

I think first you need to decide who your target audience is. Do you just want write a general info book, or how advance do you want to get. I would assume anyone reading this idea has some math background. I am not even sure what pre-algebra is.

I would stick to an intro to stats. I know with my friends, most took a stat course in college, they remember standard deviation, z-scores, and etc. But have forgotten how to compute them. If you had one section with how to compute all summary statistics, the text of the book might flow better if you can just say the variance is 2.4, instead of doing all the calculations in the text. If someone was confused how you got 2.4 for the variance they could refer to this one section.
