#73The 49ers have the edge and outclass every aspect of this Cowboys team. From ownership to coaching, to the running game to special teams to momentum to team form and health and consistency of play.
The only caveat is that they have a rookie QB who has had arguably the best start in the history of the NFL. That said, a lesser 49er team with an injured QB beat them last year in Dallas. Dallas will need to win the turnover battle to make this happen, Dak has to also have a performance like he did last week for 4 quarters to do it. Keep in mind SF is a second half team, that’s when I’d be looking to buy them. They almost always allow their opponent to start quickly. Part of the brilliance of Shanahan and Ryans is their ability to respond and adjust in game.Last edited by italianbandit; 01-18-23, 02:02 PM.Comment -

#74I don't see why not. I expect a big running game from McCaffrey and Debo. that should open everything else up in the passing. 49ers have something unique they have a running back that can play receiver and they have a receiver that can play running back and they always mix these guys aroundComment -

#77Better question: If Dallas played at SF last week without the blowout W over TB in everyone's mind, what would the line have been? San Fran by 6-7. After that easy win Monday, the line is just 3.5 -- Definitely value now on the Niners laying the small number.Comment -

#80I think the opening line was spot on. I'm just surprised it moved in favor of Dallas. Must be recency bias is my guess. Most people are on the fade Brock Prudy train still as well. But I think this line is going to jump back to 4.5 sometime before kickoffComment -

#83I think the line is right where it should be. Sure... if you had Dallas +4.5 that helps.... possibly will go to -4 at game time Sunday. This is a rare instance in which if Purdy gets rattled... who do you go to if you're SF? Purdy is the control board. If you confuse him... S.F. won't be able to score as consistently. Doesn't matter how good SF's d is... if you can't score... you can't win. Dallas still can put points up on anyone. Dak has experience... Zeke has experience. How do you actually calm Purdy? He has to be nervous as fukk.Comment -

#89Brock may throw a pick, but I don’t see him losing this game for SF. Jimmy G was 16/25 175yards, 0 TDS and 1 int with a 73.6 QBR last year against Dallas and they won. He can be average and they cover.
His decision making as QB is very impressive in the system. I’ve watched tape breaking down his throws and I’m surprised how quick and smart he is. Playing in Philly will be a new challenge for him. That would be a much bigger hill to climb as a rookie.Comment -

#90Purdy vs Dallas : If there is a doubt as to whether or not Purdy can handle that Dallas D , look at a recent opponent to both teams : Tampa Bay
Purdy & Co carved up Tampa to the tune of 35 - 7.
Dallas won 31 - 14
San Fran ( and Purdy ) by 11 it isComment -

#92tua had 3 picks. mia had 4 turnovers and rushed for 33 yds, and niners had over 40 min time of poss.. don't think purdy played linebacker or corner that sunday. the kid has been ok, but you guys are ridiculous on him. he is not carrying the niners lol. arguably the other way around. didn't deebo and mccaffrey have over 250 combined yards on sunday? and a lot of yac.Comment -

This game will be won in the trenches imo. I think Parsons is a great " Pass Rusher " when he is healthy ( not sure he will be 100% ). The real question should be how will Dallas D stop San Fran's run attack. They opened massive lanes against Seattle that you or i could run through. Being able to move the ball on the ground will give Purdy plenty of time to play action and pass downfield. Tampa Bay had all of 12 rush attempts vs Dallas. Brady was once again forced to sling it all game long ( 66 attempts ) and subsequently made it very easy to defend.....Blitz Blitz Blitz. Not going to happen against SF.Comment -

#98when you have time to throw, typically you're a great quarterback. the 9ers offensive line doesn't get nearly the credit it deserves. purdy has time.
for example, people talk about how much better lawrence is. nobody mentions they picked up Scherff on the offensive line.
i also fall in the trap of just talking about qbs.Comment -

#100$300 for corner end zone nose bleeds for Eagles/Giants.
I considered it, it's a little less than a three hour drive from here to Philly.
But it's risky business, I can't wear any NYG apparel, and I have to keep my mouth shut, or I might get jumped.
Those fans are savages.

$600 dollars for the pair isn't the issue, I shit 600 bucks, I'm all about value, there's no value in spending over a grand to sit in 38 degree freezing rain, in a hostile environment, for a game that I have to sit though a ton of TV timeouts for.
No thanks, been there and done that dozen times over, I don't need to brag "I was there"
I've seen live dozens of monumental games, like I said, been there, done that.Comment -

I always thought Troy Aikman was overrated because of their great oline and running game, but a QB can't control what talent they put around him good or badComment -

I think Over 46 is the lock of the weekend. 5-1 Over 1st round and a clean sweep for Over if the Dallas kicker didn't start shanking everything. Dallas can rush the QB, but SF is a different animal. They run screens and boots and get rid of it quickly with the best RAC options in the game. Dak is going to get his too and has plenty of weapons. Might be a 31-27 classic between these two?
Now that I think about it....will Dallas trust Maher to hit a 51 yarder in a tight spot? I get routinely f'd by college kickers with Overs, but you can usually count on NFL kickers.Comment -
