#247Oregon is going to lose to Utah, Oklahoma will lose to one or more of Baylor/Oklahoma State/Iowa State...
I don't think Michigan beats Ohio State, but there's a chance they don't even win @ PSU next week.
Alabama could garner a 2nd loss in the Iron Bowl or the SEC championship.
The door is likely going to be open for the Bearcats.Comment -

If they had been #2 or #3 in the first CFP poll last tue, I'd be feeling a lot better, but the possibilities u outlined are just as improbable as well, so no one should be holding their breath.
Most likely scenario imo is bama loses again and oklahima loses.
CFP is Georgia, Ohio state, big 12 champion with 1 loss, and hopefully cinci.
Oregon and bama both out with 2 losses.Comment -

#251Oregon has to play @ Utah in the regular season and possibly again in the PAC12 title game. Very unlikely Oregon beats them twice. It's also not out of the realm of possibility that the Ducks slip up against Wazzu or the Beavers.Comment -

#254Originally posted by HeadsterxYou’re right, never have and never will be in SLC. 😂😂😂
Beautiful city actually and fairly clean downtown.
But, it's a tough place to get to, out of the way, colder than eugene.
Ducks will have to dig deep to win up there. The Utes are peaking at the right time.Comment -

#255I think things are going to fall right for Cinci and they get in.
I give Utah a good shot to beat Oregon and Georgia is going to beat Bama.
Even if Oklahoma runs the table it will end up:
1- Georgia 2- Oklahoma 3- Ohio State 4- CincinnatiComment -

#268Originally posted by homie1975No. Not necessarily. They need help. If bana wins out they are in with Georgia. That leaves 2 more spots and that'll be the big 12 champ w 0 losses or 1 loss and the big ten champ with 1 loss.

#269When Cincinnati loses none of this will matter. They obviously will not win out. They’re playing on their heels because they’re scared shitless and they will get picked off by someone left on their schedule.

#270Originally posted by jtolerif okla st. loses to okla in reg season but beat them in big 12 championship then no big 12 representative imo. besides beating a deflated psu ohio state's resume is poor so far yet they are 4 and I wont bring up oregon anymore cant wait for them to lose I will be watching
I'm talking specifically about bama, ohio state, oregon, Michigan, mich state, oklahoma and oklahoma state.
I don't think ND has enough left on the sched to jump cincy as they dont have a CCG and they lost h2h to cincy.
Georgia? Only bama can beat them (barely) and if it happens in the sec title game then both teams at 12-1 go to the CFP.
A virtual guarantee.
Oregon is begging to lose again as is ohio state and oklahoma. But we don't know who will step up out of the bog boys left.
I know that cincy has looked very avg lately.Comment -

#273Originally posted by jtoler? chime in on wut I posted, u seem to think there will be a 1 or 2 loss big 12 team in but if the scenario plays out exactly like I wrote do u still think it happens? I mean say oklahoma wins out but loses to oklahoma state in the big 12 championship game, do u think they drop past 4?
I'm only concerned about undefeated or 1 loss champions of a league getting in above cincy:
Scenarios that worry me:
12-1 sec champ bama
12-1 sec runner up Georgia
12-1 or 13-0 oklahoma big 12 champ
12-1 okie state big 12 champ
12-1 oregon pac 12 champ
12-1 mich st big 10 champ
12-1 michigan big 10 champ (if msu loses again and Mich beats ohio state to make big 10 champ gm)
12-1 Ohio state big 10 champ
No acc concern at all.Comment -

#274thats the thing homie timing matters or at least it did in the past. when u lost late u got penalized heavily. I get the feeling they havent placed as much emphasis on that this year seeing oregon so high in intial playoff ranking. one would think it hurts oklahoma to lose to oklahoma state more in big 12 championship than it does in their final game of reg. season. if state were to beat oklahoma twice then I suspect they would leapfrog an undefeated cincy. all of those 1 loss conference champ teams I could see them putting in over an undefeated cincy.Comment -

#278Originally posted by HeadsterxYou really think Alabama losing a close game to Georgia wouldn’t still get in?
i am 99.99999999999% sure a 2 loss team will not make it into the CFP this year.
we need major chaos from week one of a season to see that happen ala 2007 when 2-loss LSU made the BCS title game.
there was extreme chaos that year. 28 pt underdog appalachian state won AT michigan. 40 pt underdog stanfarce won straight up at USC. etc, etc. it was insanity that year.
any 2 loss team this year IMO is DONE DONE DONE in terms of the playoff.
it will be undefeated and 1 loss schools (conference champions) in there before any 2 loss team gets in.
IMO Bama must go 12-1 and be SEC champ to get into the CFPComment -
