Insurance won't cover the team. The players have multimillion contracts. The team would have to pay 10X premiums to cover all these contracts. The insurance business is a risk business. If the stats say 99% of the vaccinated people don't get covid and 99% of the unvaccinated get covid they will not insure a team that has an employee that is not vaccined.

We had to get vaccines at my job and we are not Pro athletes.

I've had various employees get covid in the last year. One of my Managers ,she got Covid twice.
My policy is if you test positive, you quarantine for 10 days, you return on the 11th no test required. Unless you feel sick...common sense don't come to work!
I've been around them all, never tested positive.
