my first thought was that if they are selling, we might be see Store prices go up
hurting for cash?
or just decided they didn't have the ability to grow that site and evolve to meet the new market needs of increasingly legalized gambling.
gotta be some changes in marketing and forward facing product to adapt one way or another.
Is SBR nimble and agile enough to stay relevant?

SBR put very little effort into that site. The Rx Drew tried giving away free money over there and could not get anybody to take it and gave up.

Apparently they are going to tear it down and rebuild it and focus on US gambling. That is the speculation anyway. If I were them, I would delete all the posters.

Don't know. People seem to think it is a great name and you can sell it. But who has bought except for these dopes and SBR on the cheap?
The Gambling Forum is a lot better name and they could literally not even give that place away.

when you google things like sports betting forums The Rx comes up pretty high
page visits come more from other parts of the site, other than forum. articles, tools, ratings, ect
but getting existing visits and members to look into OddsTrader will be the big push as they adapt
they should get Loshak and a few other gambling names to start producing video content to bring in the new expanding customer base, looking for info on games and fantasy to bet that night.
Well that is interesting. The guy is a doctor so he does probably think he can sell it to a pharma company for big bucks if it does not work out.

That was a great move getting rid of that it had no upside and it was on the decline

I hope some of that money goes to the family of the founder, that wacko psychiatrist who killed himself and his wife.

Started by a guy that nicknamed himself the shrink, went to med school but flunked all the boards to actually become a psychiatrist.
One of the first online gambling sites, he'd been doing a newsletter.
At its height he was making millions a year on new sign up sheets with offshore books and advertising.
Sold it for a few milluon and opened up the EOG site and did it again.
Can't believe whomever bought the rx didnt think to do a non compete clause. Of course all Ken's friends and posters followed him to new site

It is a strange name, but the original owner Ken, what's his name was a make believe MD. He actually never passed the boards, but was at one time working in the role of a shrink...How he met his wife I understand. A genius and a nut case.

I'm just relieved to know SBR can afford Le Martin. I would put half of it toward a long-term deal at least until she is 32.
