I think you are on the right track...

Osaka is better at this point in their careers.

However, if I was on Osaka, I would worry about a lot things:

Speed of Court in part, but mainly the psychological fallout from their infamous U.S Open match + Osaka falling head over heels in love with the BLM movement and how it provided a catalyst for her to think more highly of herself versus the previous - Im just a quiet millenial, I don't know persona.

Serena will have zero negative residue from that match. She don't give an ish. Maybe even ticked off that it happened and caused her any grief.

Osaka is +105 to win it all {just bet}. That's a better play than laying the -180 juice in this spot. Hedge options are available should Osaka win.
