How many times have you overdrawn bank accounts from gambling?

Bank overdraft fees are absurd. I'm glad my US bank doesn't allow me to overdraft and then charge me. I haven't been so close to my bottom line in decades anyway. But I remember getting a check from BkofAma as a class action settlement which determined bank overdrafts were fkd up

i haven't overdrafted bank accounts but i ran up a credit card in the past and while paying decent interest month after month one went over the limit. this was in my late 20's. i was unemployed but still felt the need to bet and play blackjack. i needed something to keep me busy and betting sports was fine but playing blackjack when you are home and not doing much never ends well. ended up reloading and chasing many many times.

they list the transaction, then in like 4 or 5 days...somehow the transaction fukkin disappears only to show up 2 weeks later after you deposit 5 more times

did you know if you get gas on a debit/credit card the bank only checks for $1 available and it approves the transaction.

Never get gas on a debit card if you don't have at least like $1000 in the account. I've had gas charges pending on my account before for like a week. It freezes way more of your account then you actually spend. Hotels and rental cars do the same thing. A hotel can easily freeze your whole account if you don't have at least $1500 or so in account. Better to use veesa mistercardd for gas, hotels, rentals. Nobody ever talks about this shit but it's real. I've had gas stations freeze like $200 before, car rental freeze like $500, hotel freeze close to a grand.

Never!! Don't bet what you don't have!! Find another hobby to keep your mind busy if it comes down to that.

Don't dip into ccredit caards or anything. When you get paid from a job then use that money to gamble if you must and have it to spend.

Gotta live by that rule or you'll end up a gambling degen, broke, lonely, depressed, desperate and in GA in time.

you can't win unless you are somewhat responsible with your financials, know when to stop when losing and how to only focus on the sports you do best at and at what times (reg season vs playoffs, etc)

What’s the thinking behind this? Overdraw, hit a five teamer, and pay it back real quick?

I’m actually currently sitting out for a bit because I’ve had a real shit run of luck lately and I’m tapped at the moment. Very rarely does this happen, but it’s usually about this time of year if it does. Not gonna overdraw my damn bank though haha come on guy!

Never. I paid overdraft fees as a broke young man before internet banking. Mostly because of a hot girlfriend I handed my bank card. Haven't had an overdraft in the last 25 years. I budget to gamble. My bankroll is not my bank account. I split my discretionary income between investments(mutual funds,) and my BANKROLL. I won't be destitute in retirement. If I hustle,and handicap well, I'll be rollin'. 1% bets. Focus on the long game.
