Yes, they have the best players at every position. Like an NFL team playing a High School team every week until the championship game and maybe 1 or 2 games all year. Now, if Tua was on a lesser team, had the average college time per pass attempt in the pocket, etc. and he still cooked it like he did........less doubts.

He had way more time than the average college QB to throw, but also on top of that, had the best athletes to throw too and running the ball. Now, he gets to the NFL, and everyone is as good as they were at Alabama on the other side of the ball too. Totally different scenario.

They want to crown all these new QB's as the new Russell Wilson or better after one good game, or a few nice games their rookie season. Yet, I still see Brady doing what Brady does. Read defenses, fast release, good decision-making, accuracy, etc.

What I am ultimately stating is that we've seen this forever (not saying he won't be very good) where college QB is the next this or that, and they can't do it at the next level. There are multiple reasons why that is the case.

Justin Herbert is miles ahead of any rookie QB now and that includes TUA. It is not even close.

agree, cant over react when they do well early either because teams adjust gotta see how they fair after that. long list of guys in all sports who popped on the scene tore it up, teams adjusted, and they faltered afterwards, couple subpar to mediocre years then out of the league

now the franchise is really screwed. won 10 games for no good reason, didn't trade Fitz for a draft pick when they could've (since they said they were going with Tua), and now will need to tank again just so they can draft a different QB down the line

unfortunately, not even admitting their mistake will put that prime draft pick they burned on him back in their pocket. and they probably wouldn't be able to get more than a 5th rounder for him if they tried to trade him this offseason, so they're stuck

they either let him start all of next year for tanking purposes, or sell low and trade him now in the offseason, go with Fitz or another vet next year, and then use their draft picks on all the other holes they have to fill on their roster
