#18The history is there for single games, and especially without the pressure of this not being a championship game. Cowboys have nothing to lose, and actually the best thing is for them is to tank the season away. But Tony Pollard is a hell of an athlete. He has never played Qb in high school or at Memphis, but he can surely create problems and the Cowboys have good receivers so they could get creative with the pass game. Just for one dayComment -

#19I keep hearing Cooper Rush from the practice squad...I think I remember watching him in preseason the last two years and he actually looked decent and competent...and he had a great career at Central Michigan...At the very least, he should be an improvement over DiNucci.Comment -

#20They were conservative. Most of DiNucci's throws were quick outs or crossers where the onus was on the receivers to pick up yards after catch. When he needed to stretch the field he looked completely uncomfortable. Pretty hard to call plays when you have to ignore 80% of the playbook.Comment -

#30They called some gimmicks in an attempt to manufacture chunk plays... What's the alternative, have DiNucci drop back and either get sacked or throw a duck into coverage? It's just not realistic to expect to methodically go down the field with 3 and 4 yard gains without suffering a setback at some point in the drive, especially when you only have 2 original starters on the offensive line. They were fortunate to get some Zuerlein bombs in the first half, as well as some actual resistance from the Cowboys defense or they would have been forced to start pressing with DiNucci much earlier.Comment -

they were up 9-7 in the 2nd half, driving to the philly 30
they had called about 6 stright run plays for 3 first downs. philly D was gassed and about to give up a rushing TD
then that genius kellen moore calls another trick play for a 13 yd loss. ends up in a missed fgComment -

Playcalling was terrible in more ways than one end of story. Elliot should have touched the ball at least 30 timesComment -
