As time goes on, people will realize that Aubrey, this nice young black man, had a criminal record. Despite his family telling us what a wonderful human being he was .. He did not deserve to die for sure.
Yet. If he does not circle back and attack the man holding the shot gun, he is still alive. The guy was a former cop and worked in the prosecuter's office.

Seems like a Sherriff lead an armed group of people to the wrong house and ended up terrorizing a teenager and his mom in search of a missing girl. The group was brandishing rifles and guns and tried to force their way into the home of the Shepard who were black. The only
people home was a teenager and his mother. The New Hanover County District Attorney Ben David says the Sherriff, a Jordan Kita has been fired and will face tresspassing and breaking and entering charges.

He is a character witness. Has nothing to do with his work with the family in official capacity.
Doesn't matter, the black kid is/ was guilty, the white guys were acting within the law and they will walk w at worst an aggravated assault charge.
If they walk completely they may get settlement from state here. Worst thing that can happen for black kid family really because then they lose any wrongful death leverage on civil suit.

He did not recuse himself, then he commented publicly on evidence, decided that no charges were to be filed, then asked for a new prosecutor to be assigned once people brought up his obvious conflict of interest

I hate cops, I really despise them. But even I see the innocent error of a cop searching for a missing girl and busting down the wrong door.

Kid was up to no on good for a while.
He was spotted by 2 ppl in the neighborhood, they tried to question him and hold him until authorities could be called, but the kid knew he was busted and tried to wrestle the gun away, which backfired.

I know if you charge a cop and try to wrestle his gun away and start punching that cop in the head that cop or cops then have the authority to shoot and kill you at that point.

The two things I find odd about this incident is 1) The house they raided wasn't even in Kita's county. He was a New Hanover county sheriff and the home was in Pender county. 2) The kid that lives there is a senior at Laney high school (New Hanover county) and should be going to Topsail high school (Pender county). They are neighboring counties but the subdivision where the house is, is 2-3 miles inside the county line. He may have a waiver to go to Laney but a longer drive. Another thing mentioned about the subdivision is there are only two black families that live in that subdivision and they still got it wrong.

i saw a lawyer talking about this and it looks like citizens have almost as many rights as police when doing a citizens arrest in georgia. so they might not have committed a crime. that law seems crazy to me. i think its fine to let citizens restrain suspected criminals with reasonable physical force but not with guns unless it was a serious violent crime. if you want to try to restrain ppl for trespass then you just have to accept the risk of getting beaten up in my opinion. a regular citizen pulling a gun on someone just seems like it could easily lead to a fatal confrontation where both sides think that they were only defending themselves.Comment
