Great PEP talk Razz.... I'm fired up and ready to contribute...

My best bet would have to be under 10 for pirates and rockies

both offenses leave more to be desired and that number seems WAY high...

The pit col game added up to 10 today... does anyone else really think they are capable of 10 runs two games in a row?

I think it can hit 10 TIK. Both teams batting over .300 in the last 5 games, slugging near .500, playing in coors field which is the most hitter friendly park in the game, and I believe PIT is starting some pitcher that I have never heard of...

Pit is starting Charlie Morton, whom they got from the Braves. Pretty solid. He had to come out of the game vs the Braves tho with a stomach ailment. We can move off that game tho...

How about Lilly vs the Tribe?

The Cubs rallied today and have the better pitcher... Momentum has to be with the Cubbies... is -175 too much chalk?

Indians wont get much runs if any within the first 5 innins, lilly owns them at home turf.
Ohka(lol at the name) yes as a lose this season, but he bounced back and is pretty solid, to keep it low scoring within the first 5 innings

Last game for OHKA WHIP 1.000 & LILLY WHIP 1.174

                        I love the Cubs pick...

Yanks vs Josh Johnson scares me... Cueto has had a great season. Should get the win vs the WhiteSox, altho Richard is a nice surprise

I could roll with any or all of those picks. I'd tread lightly on the Yanks but then again, I wanted Fla with Sean West and was wrong there...

some info on NYY vs Fla

Johnson has gone 3-1 with a 2.02 ERA in eight starts at Landshark Stadium this season. Burnett is fairly comfortable in his old digs, posting a 28-17 record with an ERA of 3.20 in 62 starts in South Florida.
Burnett’s familiarity with the stadium has no doubt influenced LVSC in making the Yanks $1.20 road favorites with a total of 8 ½.
It’s not a stretch to see the Fish pull this one out as they’re 5-2 in their last seven meetings in Miami against New York…that includes the 2003 World Series. The ‘over’ has gone 7-2 in the last nine home tilts for the Marlins against the Yanks since 1999.

id roll wit the yanks, cuz johnson has to lose sometime, right? but maybe we should consider the over/under in that game....

im ALL FOR lakerboy's Cubs and Reds selections tho.... this yankee one leaves me puzzled

You’d want to believe that Santana will have his way against the Rays at Citi Field, but the numbers don’t support it. He’s just 3-2 with a 2.79 ERA in seven career starts versus Tampa Bay. Plus, Joe Maddon’s crew is hitting .286 against southpaws this year with 29 home runs and 124 RBI.
Something else to take into consideration is that Tampa has won three of the last four head-to-head meetings with the Mets. The ‘over’ is 3-1 in those contests. Also, the Rays are 6-3 in interleague play this year and 18-9 over the last two seasons. New York, on the other hand, is 4-5 versus the AL in 2009 and 13-11 since last year.

All the more reason to bet the over 5.5 first 5

Or just straight up over as well

There has to be some worry for Mets fans with what’s going on with their ace. Santana lasted only three innings after giving up nine earned runs against the Yankees on June 14. And he’s surrendered 17 runs total in his three starts this month.
