Calif been stop pursuits lately once they find out who it is and depending on person if a minor infraction they let go and pick up at a later date, chases take up too much resources if chasing down a shop lifter, ect

I know a Chinese girl who drove about 5 miles with police sirens blaring behind her, and figured it wasn't for her because she stopped at traffic lights and they didn't drive up to her.

They gave her a bunch of tickets but she decided to fight it in court as she thought it wasn't fair. Told her she had no chance but she ignored me.

The judge threw the charges out after listening to her confused babbling for about 10 mins. Said the cops should have come up beside her and made sure she knew it was her they wanted just like she said.

She'd run a red light to start with before being chased, and her Chinese license had expired and she also didnt have it on her at the time. Judge let her off for the lot!
