Those are traditionally best recruit teams in the league but UNC has lost all their 4 core players.

They still have that big white boy who played huge role for them in the tourney last year! Let's be real if you watched that game it really wasn't a situation where unc was outmatched, they simply couldn't make shots! I can't even begin to guess how many wide open layups they blew on their way to shooting 24% for the freaking game!! Sparty had a ungodly amount of turnovers, unc got to the charity stripe 11 more times yet only made 5 more fts! Unc shot 1-18 from behind the arc., taking nothing away from sparty defense but plenty of those misses were on very good looks.. they play that game again and I'd be on unc fully confident they shoot much closer to their averages which makes that a completely different game.,

Terps have limited opposing starting guards to 33% shooting over the last 5 games. Orange gets most their offensive production from their guards - mostly Tyus Battle, who might have a hard time carrying the team on his back with a bad back. He’s a game time decision.
Both teams not fouling much and road teams FT% usually lower at the carrier dome, which favors the under. Cuse zone d may take a bit for Maryland to figure out. Cuse holding opponents to just 36% so far this season, albeit against lesser opponents. Terps do have several sharp shooters than can get open looks vs. the zone though, so I like Maryland to win a low scoring battle at the Carrier dome.

I've never been one to think it a good idea to fade a team simply cause they missing key player anyways. Hell when I capped it I didn't even consider or care, lol.

Really hard to say Maryland covering was lucky, the way it ended yes fortunate, but in all fairness they were within a basket up or down the entire game. Terps+3 deserved the cash imo.

Oh no doubt, it was a one possession game throughout ., tend to get those when we get nights like this with very small cards and only 1 or 2 "marquee" matchups. Cornell was my favorite today but I was on this one as well, degens need their fix lol

To be fair, Huerter is a very good 3pt shooter and Maryland being a team that moves the ball well (22 assists tonight vs. 12 for cuse) will always produce open looks against the zone. Cuse doesn’t shoot 3s well so no surprise there. Cuse also got 18 points out of their best player who was a game-time decision to play or not.

I stand by Maryland being the right side and right outcome. The under was the wrong side with Battle playing, and looking healthy though.

Yes, Xavier is better than Creighton. Trevon Bluiett & JP Macura are one of the best backcourt duos in the sport. Ty Jones has been aggressive down low, & 6’8” Gates can shoot 3s (43%).

X is #2 in nation in adjusted fg %. They can shoot 3s or dribble drive, and most importantly they’re top 20 in A/TO ratio. I think teams who move the ball well struggle less against the zone.

Baylor’s in the midst of a tough non-conf stretch: Wisconsin, Creighton, @Xavier, Wichita State. I don’t see them sweeping that slate and this looks like the spot to let down on the road.
