Yes Trump was the most powerful owner in the USFL back in the 80's. He started spending big money for the top players coming out of college like Herschel Walker and Doug Flutie. That was not the leagues original business model.
Trump caused the other owners to spend big money for star players even though they couldn't afford it. So when teams started failing, Trump (primarily him) and the owners concocted a strategy to play in the fall ( they originally played in the spring) and position themselves to sue the NFL for being a monopoly.
The jury found for the USFL and awarded them $3.00. That's right, a measly $3.00. The jury basicall concluded that the NFL was a monopoly but the USFL suffered no financial damages because of it. They failed because of their own irresponsible spending.Comment -

Some people with their own channels have many videos getting many views. It adds up.

My kid brother is in the Air Force. He says that the biggest on base liabilities are people from Louisiana. He refuses to give anyone from Louisiana a greater responsibility than standing still and not talking to anyone.
