#19There is literally nowhere to go. I'm surrounded by water. The house is high and dry, so I'm good but my road is at least 5 feet of water. The streets downstream of me are 10 feet. I'm behind the bayou that has overflown which is probably 40 feet in some areas. You would be crazy to try to get past that on foot. A neighbor went up on a bridge that crosses that bayou and it was like white water rapids down the bayou. You can't swim in that current. I can only hunker down and hope the waters don't come up any higher. If so, I'll be moving to the 2nd floor. The chances the water come up high enough to get in my house is very slim. Some of my neighbors are much lower and they will have to come up to me if it gets higher. I'll be good but damn a lot of people are fukked. We just need this damn rain to stop already.Comment -

Donk stay safe. It is getting cold outside (which is very unusual for Houston in August). We are getting high winds as well. Tomorrow morning may see 50 mph winds to an already soaked city. Look out for falling trees.Comment -
