Sure enough hands would wave me over and I'd be selling them quickly especially to families and on hot days.. I even met hot chicks in bikinis all the time as well.. WIN WIN.. My pockets were full of cash in no time..

I'd make any where from $150- $300 per day cash during the week, weekend double that... I could have been a serial killer and still did what I did.. Not rocket science either..

I actually enjoyed it after I got over the embarrassment aspect initially.. I had to swallowed my pride and went for it.. I needed money... Holiday weekends like the 4th of July I'd pack 3 coolers in my car and make $1200 in a day doing multiple reloads and runs on foot back and forth to the car.. The coolers would sell and empty out so fast..

You need to learn to study what the fukk is really going on before you quote anything for fact. This thread was about Food Stamps. It is very easy to verify that MORE WHITES receive food stamps. Now we've moved on to welfare which is not so cut and dry to prove.

What benefits do you mean? What/where are you pulling your data? Are we talking medicaid that many working class people have paid into? I've been paying into medicaid my entire life. I'll be eligible to receive benefits at 65. So when I get older I will be on medicaid welfare. Even though I've paid into this program for what will be 45 years. I believe my retirement package medical won't even kick in until medicaid first pays the bills. Social Security? I've been paying into that too. So years later I'm receiving my money back but you will claim that I'm an old ass man stealing from the fukking government. WTF?

Safety nets are enjoyed by more whites than any other race. That is a fact. You're just looking at the programs the media wants you to pay attention to. Welfare programs are shared by all races. Another small business idea coming from a child.. Me..

When I was 13 years old we had a bunch of avocado trees on my street block and I had one in my own mom's back yard.. The big tree would produce alot of avocados.. I made a long poll avocado picker and plucked all the trees in my hood, filled up a shopping cart full of avocado's, wheeled it down to my local grocery store and sat outside and sold them in from of the big Grocery store for 5 for a dollar... Made a little sale sign.. I did see in the store the avocados were like 50 cents each back in the day.. I was selling mine for 5 a dollar.. I never got chased away either.. Big Vons store and they didn't care..

I'd make like 30 to 50 bucks for the day when I did that.. I did that as a punk kid when there were avocados to be picked......

Dry Ice doesn't weigh much either so it worked out great and kept everything frozen.. Lasted for the entire day.. I'd throw the dry ice into the ocean and watch it mist when the cooler was empty in celebration.. ...

Jibbby - I'm just like you. I started making money when I was 9 years old and never, ever asked my parents for a dime since then. It is so easy to make money that it surprises me how so many people don't. It is easy to make money BUT it is very easier to NOT make it. Most people take the easy road out. Why throw your clothes on the floor instead of hanging them up? It's easier. People do what comes easy to them. For many people in that environment it is easy to do NOTHING.

You and I hit the birth lottery. We were born in the right place at the right time, most likely by the right people. I grew up poor but my parents always had hope. They instilled a solid christian belief system that there was always better days ahead as long as you work hard and treat people fair. Most of my friends didn't have that support, they didn't have that belief. They were beat down as children by their parents. Their parents told them what they couldn't do, how their ideas were stupid, that they were just dreaming, that they would amount to nothing. Their parents lived in fear and fear causes people to do nothing. But instead of their parents telling themselves that they could never get a degree, they told their kids that they couldn't get a degree. They would never admit that they were afraid to succeed, so they told their kids they couldn't succeed. If their kids actually do succeed, it would magnify their failures. Which is why misery loves company. Sure they want their kids to do well but subconsciously it would be a huge blow to their self worth.

I mentor, coach and train young kids, many from the inner city. It is not a pretty sight. It's the parents. They are fukking awful. The living environment is a mess. How are you going to open your ice cream shop and bring money into the house when one of your momma's many boyfriends beat your ass and take your money every day? How many times are you going to go out, get more inventory and make money only to have to give it to some stranger gang banging in your house?

I use to think that any kid could get out of their circumstance if they had faith, hope and desire. Now, from what I've seen, it is damn near impossible. You have a lot of parents that living, breathing, devils.

We got a kid that is a very good sprinter (he'll qualify for Junior Olympics tomorrow morning). The kid is always cursing in the tent. Now, I'm known to curse myself but I try to be very selective around the kids. His every other sentence is MF this F that. Well of course we find out the reason. His father came out to a meet a couple of months ago, comes onto the track (which we don't allow) and starts cursing the kid out because he thought he could run faster. Dude was drunk and high and acted a fool. Embarrassing. Who does that?

I think for some people ideas, motivations and belief comes easier then others.. I always had an imagination and dreamed big....

I do think we were born at the right time for investing in real estate.. The 90's... As far as small businesses I could go out and still sell ice cream out of a big cooler tomorrow on the beach.. The only difference today is maybe it might cost me 20 cent each for every big stick and ice cream sandwichs to buy but to sell today would probably be in the $3 to $4 range for sure... I'd make $300 a day still..

I don't think my back could handle it for long though, those coolers weighed about 75-100 pounds, not easy to carry in the hot sun for a mile in the soft sand.. The cooler does get much lighter in weight as you sell which is good.. I could do it though but I'd be hurting at night..

Times haven't changed that much when it comes to starting small businesses IMO... Yes you do get road blocks and haters always, but I always laughed at them while going straight to the bank to deposit the money I made.. I never cared what people think or said.. I knew at an early age what was up..

I had to hit the beach areas that didn't have food stands nearby... On the hot days people laying out in the hot beach sand would be more then eager to buy these from me when I walked buy with the big cooler yelling big sticks, ice cream sandwiches.... Their eyes would light up... Easy money really..

Well for me it was always when someone very close to me just didn't believe in me and or put me down.. That bothered me growing up.. I didn't care what most people said negatively but when it came to family, tight friends or a boss that drove me nuts.. I'd try that much harder to prove them all wrong.. That gave me drive and made me pissed off..

For those that win in life, I think you either have it or you don't.. Either you have a burning fire in your gut or you don't in other words.. You have to think and believe you are special and on this earth for reason to do big things. If you can also look in the mirror and like yourself and who you are as a person then that makes it all that much easier as you get older and go thru life..

I remember guys like you on the Jersey beaches doing the same thing. Still doing it.

I sold magazines in my neighborhood, collected glass refundable bottles, mowed grass, shoveled driveways
and rode my bike 8 miles one way to caddy at a golf course during the summer. My neighbor kids and I
had a neighborhood carnival complete with games and entertainment. We made out like bandits.

I had a paper route as my very first job at probably 12 years old, made maybe $40 a week and that was mainly tips if I remember correctly.. Also worked at Swensens ice cream parlor at 16 for 2 summers after school and on the weekends for minimum wage..

I never got an allowance growing up and had to work for what I had as far back as I could remember. That was key and I'm glad for that.. If I pulled weeds all day around the house my mom would maybe give me 5 bucks once in a while that's it. We just didn't have alot of money growing up...

I think this is lost today with our kids, they get allowances now for doing nothing, they sit around and play video games all day or are on social media glued to their cell phones constantly, they talk back to their parents, get timeouts instead of the belt, the art of hard work is lost..

I got an allowance but had to work for it. Mow grass, wash cars and take trash out/ burn it. (set the field on fire one day)

My 1st job was at the drive in making 60 cents an hour working the concession. Did everything there. Picking up trash,
cleaning rest rooms (women were the worst), ticket taker to bouncer. Fun times.

Must've raised my kids right. Got their ass beat when bad, they did their chores for an allowance and I demanded respect.

They are great members of society today. Have their own houses and kids, don't do drugs, but drink like their father.

slavery does exist in this country still today and it's apart of the democrats' platform. They manage it through welfare and the education system.

The prison system is screwed up but it's not the problem to attack. You stop modern day slavery used by democrats and the prison system will cure itself. You have to go after the root cause.

Theres Mexicans and central americans working in central California for a few bucks an hour still.

Theres still prison industrial labor being done for pennies on the dollar and for free in A ton of places.

Its just a new form of slavery. There was a fire up the hill on the way back from Vegas yesterday by coming through the antelope valley I stopped to get gas and the CDF fire capt was there I asked him how much his inmate fire crew makes per hour he said 1.75 an hour.

These dudes are cutting fireline using chainsaws and pick axes its hard work.
