and the discussion, at least my discussion with RB, was about ISIS and their involvement in terrorism in the entire territory. Not ISIS and their involvement in Syria. and there is disagreement world wide BTW, as if Russia was involved in killing Syrians to prop up the Syrian government or if they were killing terrorists. Seems like they killed more civilians than terrorists.

ISIS was no doubt degraded by Russian attacks, however, ISIS was not only in Syria but also in Iraq and even other countries. The US took the burden of the battle, also as I said Russian sorties killed probably more civilians than terrorists. Giving the credit to Russia attacks is ludicrous, they aided only in Syria and nobody really knows how much they helped.Comment -

I know how to google, I believe I saw two articles, and one has the russian campaign starting in Sept 2015. That seems around 15 or 16 months. ISIS has been reported being degraded for at least 16 months. So what is your problem. Defending the Russians with hints that they have a better military that the US is just plain stupid. Is that your problem? They are not even a second rate country when it comes to their military vs US military. They weren't even able to compete when they were the Soviet Union. Are you interested in why? Because they spent more of their GNP on defense (percentage) than the US did and still spent less in real money. That plus communism doesn't work.
