Well thats good to read, it's not a splashy deal I just think the kid from Kentucky will look good in blue and white and we could use a little bit more in the bullpen.

Tolleson is not a terrible guy, he just has ghosts from last year that have already spilled over this year. I think he will be much better in another uniform. Willhelmsen in blowouts, Faulkner, Kela and

Got up at 2 am . Couldn't sleep so I checked the box score. Holy Moses, the Astros lost 11-1. Kuechel gave up 6 hits and 5 runs. Feliz gave up 4 hits and 4 runs ( 3 earned) and then Hinch brought in Kratz to pitch the 8th. He actually did better than Feliz because he only gave up 3 hits and 2 runs. Looks like this team has lost all confidence and I don't know what it'll take to turn that around.

Astros problem is they rely on homeruns and good starting pitching. Homeruns have been slow to come, starting pitching not what it was last year, gomes in a slump and looking like a bust. They need to spend money on a first basemen with power.

We won't need a first baseman once AJ Reed is ready to come up. Biding our time with him like we did with Correa last year. RISP average is killing us. No timely hitting, especially from the bottom of the lineup. Infield defense has been atrocious. Altuve has looked bad, Correa has had some wild throws, and you can tell that White is still learning the position. Base running? Blah! Horrible decisions are being made out there.

This is all mental. I think these kids have been pressing too hard because of the expectations, and are not going out to have fun like they did last year. They will turn it around, but how deep will the hole be that they have dug?

Hope McCullers looks better tonight than against the Red Sox. I'll attribute the bad outing to a combination of it being his first start of the year, and that he was playing the biggest current offense in the American League in the rain.

This could be a nice pivot for you guys. Rangers are reeling a little and making roster adjustments with Tolleson finally out as I stated in post 40 in April. Yu-da has a start or two left in the minors and now Choo is coming back. Perfect storm to pounce on the Rangerinos...

The Astros were 17-28 and now they are 26-20, they are really close to turning this thing around with 100 plus games to go. The offense is starting to hit better and their bullpen has really stepped up. Harris and Feliz are no joke. Closer is still a huge problem though. If Kuechel returns to form, we are going to be dangerous again.
