I think LB is bothered by the texting and driving thing. I know he generalized it in this thread and that gets into how technology is breaking down the basic concept of in person human interaction but the texting/driving thing is downright dangerous and can end up in people losing their lives.

Have kids, see their friends, classmates, etc. Most are completely fixated on a screen basically all day long. Will be unproductive citizens. Can't function on their own, no common sense, no work ethic or discipline.

It's not the kids fault or the advances in technology that is to blame for them playing video games all day long and or them being on their smart phones and texting non stop - It all starts with parental control.

Parents are weak these days that's the real problem.. No electronics in house is the answer.. It sounds harsh but people that grow up with out televisions, gaming machines tend to be alot more successful and brighter on average.. They read books instead and are forced to go outside and play sports as an outlet....

I never said texting was a bad thing. Texting while driving is one of the worst things, though. So if the function has to be disabled for everyone in the vehicle to vastly improve the safety of literally everyone on the roads, so be it.

I text all the time. I have no interest or reason to text in a car. No one should.

I blame it on the cheap nasty ass pizza that is so popular among young American adults

Fast food, pizza, soda drinks and gaming.. Now you know why American kids are the fattest in the world on average.. Adults too..

I get silently angry when I see obese people with kids that are obese.. They call it a disease which is laughable.. You get hungry you eat veggies with low cal dip and salad with low cal dressing, not a pizza and ice cream, if you get thirsty drink water instead of a sugary soda. If water is boring squeeze a lemon slice in it.. it's just that simple... Don't stock up on shit foods when you shop, read the labels.. If it's not around you won't eat it..

Oh and when you get depressed don't run to the fridge for fattening snacks but run out the door for a jog or a bike ride instead.. Exercise is a happy drug... It's not that hard to make the right choice..

Life is all about discipline... Knowing when to apply the brakes...

We are slowly turning into robots. I laugh when I see people out in public that have antennas coming out of their head and earpieces and wires and all kinds of shit. Who the hell do you need to talk to that bad? My god. The other day somebody walked right into me because there penetrating face was glued to their dam smartphone. I almost grabbed it from them and smashed it on the ground. I am sick of these penetrating phone zombies myself. It is almost impossible to go anywhere now without seeing everyone staring at there phones. I mean what the penetrate is so important on there. I can see if they are checking scores or placing a bet but I highly doubt these people out there have any money on the game.

I think I actually liked it better back when there was no cell phones. You could actually have face to face conversations with people. I mean I see people sometimes out on dates out to eat and the girl is sitting there texting on her phone while the dude just sits there. When I go out with someone I want to be able to talk with them not sit there with someone who is playing with their phone the whole time. I think it's horrible.

I was sort of thinking the same thing the other night. I ordered a new phone off Verizon because mine isn’t working right. I currently have the iPhone 6s Plus still. I’m upgrading to iPhone 7 Plus. Anyway I was watching reviews on YouTube and it seemed the most important thing was looks. Looks of a damn cell phone. Smh.

I continued down the YouTube rabbit hole only to find out kids get bullied because of what kind of phone they have. It was pathetic to watch.
