Why are big ML favorites in MLB almost always called square at SBR?

This kind of bothers me because big moneylines are considered acceptable and not necessarily square in NBA, NFL, etc. I think big moneylines are considered acceptable and not square sometimes in college baseball and events like the Olympics and Baseball World Championship.

However, big moneylines in MLB are almost always labeled "square" at SBR. Why?

Betting heavy faves in baseball is not profitable long term. Sometimes pinnacle will open with a higher juiced fav that's usually a good time to bet faves. Baseball isn't such a consistent sport, people probably think betting mlb faves is bad because you cant ever count on a team to hit, sometimes even the worst pitchers throw a great game

Yeah but there's no way big moneylines are always square the way they're treated here. Maybe people are too narrow-minded about certain things?

It's just like any other sport. The edge just has to be bigger to overcome the inflated line from the public bets.

LOL you worry about what degenerates on a posting forum think?

Bottom line is as long as you get the best number on the side you like there is no real sharp or square.

To me a guy who consistently bets the worst odds is a bigger 'square' than someone who might lose but got the best odds. The former had very little chance of ever making a profit while the latter at least understands the fundamentals.
