How's it going? Is everyone jumping out of buildings like all the guys here said? Are we at 10,000 yet?

Thank God we have so many great forecasters here to prevent us all from doomsday.

of course. i never heard an average joe becoming rich from the market.

all i have to say is if you get 10-12% roi, you're considered a superstar fund manager.

Find me a guy consistently getting 10-12% ROI on anything and I will retire tomorrow. I don't think that is treading water anywhere - if you can really get that kind of return you would be instant millionaire. Cost of borrowing money is less than 10% for most and you would easily be able to service the debt and constantly re-invest and principal. You would be very rich if you can find anything that consistently pays 12%

These huge swings in market is not an indication of volatility, it's a sure sign of how strong this market really is!

Why has national debt been frozen? Nonetheless, Double up and get some!

Do not be a pussy, Jump all in and getcha some!

you're missing my point. most sports bettors deposit $100 or so. are you telling me they'd be happy with making $10 in a year? heck they wouldn't even be happy with 100% roi.

in order for 10-12% roi to make it count, you have to have a lot of money. hence, this only matters for the rich.

Ha - right - I get your point for sure - that is gambling vs. investing and i would agree. The problem is with gambling, for most their return is -100% or something close to that, so in your head you feel in order to be successful you need to be +1000% at some point to make up for it.

Markets or gambling? What's a Dow indexed fund done in same period? Not being snide. Really wondering.

Look for that very set-up if a recession does start to happen.
