What does that even mean? More importantly, what does that mean to you? Doesn't have to be a novel or a 15 minute video by someone else. Its a pretty strong statement you made and completely false of course, so I am genuinely curious why someone would say something like that. I doubt even the harshest Trump critics will agree with your previously statement.Comment -

He's for a simple modified tax code. Lower personal and corporate taxes. He's for LEGAL immigration. He's for fair trade with other countries. He's for a strong military. He believes the US doesn't have to be the world's police. He was against going into Iraq. He's for helping create a business friendly USA where companies will want to come to rather than leave and thus create millions more good paying jobs and in turn will provide the tax dollars for Washington to do all sorts of things like help those that need it, seniors, veterans etc., He's for a healthcare system that is affordable to the people and one that doesn't make pharmaceutical companies filthy rich, he's for taxing hedge fund wall street guys more. I can go on and on.Comment -

#4708Originally posted by d2betsExcept that it is different. Very different. All of the other candidates have much more breadth and depth of stated policy positions. Plus they have records on those positions. Anything Trump said in the past he just sluffs off to being a businessman. You;d think given the lack of record he'd feel it more necessary to put out serious policy papers. He hasn't done that.

#4709Originally posted by DwightShruteand where have all these positions gotten the country over the last 16 years? Wars and nation building in the Middle East, subprime mortgages, recessions, record unemployment, lowest approval rate of congress in history, record people on food stamps, Millions more living in poverty, 21 trillion debt, hundreds of billions in negative trade deficits, illegal immigration out of control, medium income down, 100 million out of the workforce, obamacare, largest tax increase on the middle class in history, corporations moving to other countries, highest corporate tax rate in the world, infrastructure crumblings, wasted stimulus, cash for clunkers, solyndra, shovel ready jobs. simple modified tax code: sounds like a tax break for him & his rich friends. We have to get corporations to pay their tax's first. fair trade, all for it. just don't think the large corporations & paid for politicians will allow it. He better have some good people working with him & the public support. The MIC kinda runs on its own, not sure anyone could fix it. We don't have the capital, skills. or industrial base its all in China. Taxing the rich & rebuilding the infrastructure, changing to clean energy first is the best way to create jobs. Free healthcare is better, just take all the profit motive out it. Also a great equalizer for Avg. people. All for cleaning up & taxing Wall St. Just don't think Trump is the guy for the job, seeing how he is part of the problem. I have as much faith in him as I have in Hillary.Comment -

It cannot be denied that Fascism and similar movements aiming at the establishment of dictatorships are full of the best intentions and that their intervention has, for the moment, saved European civilization. The merit that Fascism has thereby won for itself will live on eternally in history. But though its policy has brought salvation for the moment, it is not of the kind which could promise continued success. Fascism was an emergency makeshift. To view it as something more would be a fatal error.Comment -
