There have been two great shooting games in this series that easily passed this number and two poor shooting nights that went under this number. Last game was good shooting to get Brooklyn back into the series. Back at home, thinking Atlanta should continue their good 3 pt pace. This should come down to Brooklyn adding 6-8 as the deciding factor into whether or not this gets over.Comment -

Calathes wound up being a big part of this cashing the last game with four makes as he got inserted into the starting lineup with Conley out. This still matters more for Portland to get theirs for this to have a chance. They have 33 makes in this series so far with at least eight threes in 3/4. Memphis is never going to put up a high volume amount of threes, but if they can hit their 5-6, I think this goes, especially if Afflalo can get some more minutes for Portland. It will likely be close again, but I'm feeling froggy on this one.Comment -

The majority of this is on the Hawks to get double digit threes made. I think Washington has plenty to add to the mix though. In the 1R, ATL had 67 makes in six games, while WASH had 43 makes in four games. The Wiz got especially hot late with 27 of those makes in the last two games of the Toronto series. This series to me is an Overs try every game until it proves to not be in back-to-back games. You've got two teams who have shown the ability to get double digit threes and that always makes this a good shot.Comment -

I think this is a fair #, but I do like taking a chance with the plus money. If Memphis can make anything, this will be a probable over. The problem of course is that Memphis' 3 pt shooting is poor. This is still a team that averages about five per game and the feeling is that if they can get their average, then this should always have a chance. G-State can easily crush this by making a dozen or more any given day. In the 1st round, they only had one poor game where they had less than eleven makes. My feeling here is that if the Warriors are hitting theirs and getting their 11 or 12, this will always have a great shot.

At least today Memphis just isn't even making an effort to take 3s, not just shooting bricks like they did last round. LAC-HOU # likely to be set somewhere like the DAL-HOU series which will make that one difficult to bet. Would probably think unders first there, but gonna see how it sets up.Comment -

[G1] Cleveland-Chicago Over 18 @ +100
While Love's absence takes away a solid three point shooter, it should not effect the rate of 3s that Cleveland puts up and that should give this number a chance. When Love was out via injury or rest in the regular season, the Cavs still put up a large volume of three point attempts. They averaged 10 makes during the regular season on 27 attempts. In their 1st round series with Boston, they made 39 in four games. Chicago was a bit Jekyll & Hyde in their series with Milwaukee. Over six games, the Bulls banged hom 67 threes. It was a road-centric three point show with 39 of those coming on the road in three games on 80+ attempts. That could bode well here. The last regular season meeting between these two came on April 5th without Love. In that one, there were 64 combined three point attempts with 27 makes. The other three regular season meetings saw 16, 17 & 19 makes. It may take 50 shots for this to have a legit shot as these two teams can get hot, but do more damage on a higher volume of shot attempts. Give me 50 or more three attempts though and I am on this number for the series.

Passing on the Clips-Rockets @ 20. None of the regular season meetings had Howard involved, so I'd like to see how it plays out with him in the game. I would tend to think this might go under, but obviously with Houston they can hit 12-15 on any given night to blow that up. I don't think the number will get larger this series barring a ridiculous shooting night tonight, so this will probably be around 19-21 for the series maybe dipping up and down due to the previous game.Comment -
