I agree. Too much defense on the Side of the NFC
The NFC will win the superbowl in 2014

#37I think Denver's toughest test is this week against New England. I think out of the 3 teams left, New England has the best chance to beat Denver. DEN/NE is going to be a legendary matchup, and will likely go down as one NFL greatest games as long as the final score is within a TD. I think the game could go either way 50/50. Denver is the futures favorite, and it baffles me when people think whoever wins the NFC will be favored over Denver in the Super Bowl. Denver will be 2.5 pt favs over whoever wins the NFC. If New England beats Denver, I think they will have a very very tough time against Seattle or SF. If Denver wins this week they will win the Super Bowl. If New England wins, the NFC will win it. Whatever the Super Bowl matchup, pound pound pound the favorite to cover.Comment -

#47I'm not talking about what the books say right now, I'm talking when the actual line comes out after the championships games are played. Denver will be favored if they beat NE, I'll bet on it...Comment -

#55I think SF would've beat Denver but PM will beat Seattle. Manning will get Decker or whoever on a 3rd/4th corner and rape him repeatedly Pulp Fiction style. Holiday could make the difference too....had a return TD earlier in NY and one last week vs SD that got called back. They won't have touchbacks every time like the thin air yesterday. Denver can stop the run and Wilson isn't that good!Comment -

wilson sucks
did the afc championship mean nothing? you think denver can design a d to take away the run and force tom brady to beat them, but won't have the same success against wilson? although wilson did throw for about 320 yards. his last 2 games combined. and their defense is suspect to me. saints rolled up 400 yards in that div game. don't know how that team keeps winning. smoke and mirrors.Comment -

Pinny opened PK, went to Sea -1, then line turned around
Bookmaker OPENED Sea -1.
You can look it up yourself. http://www.sbrforum.com/betting-odds/nfl-football/
So since I assume we were talking about openers all along, turned out I was right. But again, does it really matter?Comment -

#63NFC was fav to beat AFC as a future a few weeks ago. At the time that future line was set, the books would have had to at least considered a den sea match up a good probability. This point was brought up by another poster in another thread, can't recall who, but it reminded me of this thread.Comment -

Not even watching this game...too bitter about SF losing to Sea. Even if sea wins and my futures cash Ill still be bitter. At least until I get to Spring Training.Comment -

#66Yeah like I said I wasn't trying to make some bold proclamation. Just encouraging people to max their value on the NFC teams. I had juicy futures on both sea and SF over Denver.

#67Thanks for the winner tatddy, I took sea live to win sb, when they were down vs sf. I wanted sf to win too (Montana created my interest in the NFL), but was going after the value -- ironically following your advice. Good thing your hip enough not to let the sf loss eat you alive, thanks again!Comment -

#68Good calls here. The Seahawks statistically were the most dominant team in the far superior conference.
If Niners had won I think result would have been similar.Comment -
