Bush came in with a surplus. Obama came in with an interest payment on Bush's money that is more than the conceivable amount of paying for Bush's debt.
There are a ton of ways to knock Obama, his handling of the economy and national debt is not one of them. C'mon.
Obama's offenses against this country are greater than this myopic lie of his mishandling of our money.Comment -

#73Not really. Only people who fail to understand basic math and to use critical thinking when applying basic math concepts think this as a truth.

#74Doesn't matter who the President is. They will keep spending like they do now. Every President since Roosevelt regardless of party has been spending like there is no tomorrow. They only difference is where they spend it. Republicans spend it on useless military programs and Democrats spend it on useless social programs.Comment -

#79I'd personally rather lose again than cart out someone who continues the swirl down the drain.
We are $17 trillion in debt and adding .5 trillion every year. Govt revenues are just $2.5 trillion. Taxes are already suffocatingly high. Eventually we will elect, either by choice or in desperation, a president who will stop buying votes and slice spending. We are a couple of upticks away on interests rates to cause the interest payments on that $17 trillion debt from burying us permanently. For now just buy gold.
Hmmm...Vote for Tweedle Dee or Tweedle Dum.
So sad but it's over...
The late, great USofA has seen the great sunami of wealth and power
crest and fall.
Out of all of civilization...We were the lucky few to ride that great western wave.
All hail neo-global corporate rule.Comment -

#96Tea Party needs to relent to having a moderate in the presidency. No other way they can get Republican in there. They need to focus getting their candidates into House/Senate elections in states that traditionally vote more conservative.Comment -

#99Tough to figure who Christie would pick as a running mate? I think he says F the tea guys let me get a thin looker type who knows something. Ryan may actually be a good choice. He is a budget specialists and that will probably be the biggest issue.Comment -

#103So the problem is to go after the teacher's union to reduce their salaries? Then all the good teachers in public schools will go to private schools and this country will still be producing dumb voters for years to come.Comment -

#104Obama inherited 10 TRILLION worth of debt which took over 230 years to accomplish (NOT 13 as you're claiming). However, you defend Obama for raising that debt by 7 TRILLION in a little over 4 years. THAT MAKES YOU A HYPOCRITE which is the first amendment of the democratic party. Regarding nominating Christie in 2016, that would be a huge mistake. The republican party has to STOP nominating wishy-washy RINOS and find the most conservative candidate they can who is able to accurately articulate why the democratic party is destroying this country. That is the only chance the GOP has.Last edited by andywend; 11-08-13, 05:05 PM.Comment -
