I did back in the Pride days, but I don't follow it anymore... I believe Reem was champ last time I watched a K1 fight. I really enjoy watching it, but I am not sure it's televised in the states... (Is it?) I honestly wasn't even sure if it still existed..

I don't see how you can lay $$$ on Fitch when Maia hung with Munoz, Sonnen, and DHK... Granted, the DHK fight was a possible fluke. Maybe I am sleeping on Fitch, as he did look good in his last outing against Silva, who I lost $$$ on. However, I cap this fight close to evens, maybe even a slight edge to Maia in the standup and ground game. Fitch obviously has the wrestling, but if he plays around too much in Maia's guard, it's gonna be a rough night for Fitch.. IMO, if you going to bet Fitch straight up, you might as well play him by decision also.

People will call me crazy, but Fitch would be a play for me at -250.
He is one of the sure grinders I can count on.
Fitch knows his strengths and sticks to his gameplan. If he loses this fights, it's of a fluke. Which to me is worth the juice.

I'm in the same boat. The only time he has ever looked "bad" was in his fight with BJ Penn, I think that was a one time thing.
People lost alot of faith in him when Hendricks knocked him out, but it was a punch less then 20 seconds into the fight, and then he did the same thing to Kampmann. That has nothing to do with Fitch, has more to do with Hendricks ridiculous KO power. Fitch is still a top 3 WW in my opinion.

Here is the problem i feel with this fight. If it is quick Fitch gets subbed and that could happen because this is a whole different level of JU Jitz then Fitch has faced. I never thought Fitch would ever get knocked out with that rock chin of his but he did. If the fight goes all the way u know it is gonna be a tough decision possibly going anyway, which sets up a shitty judged screwin ya. Fitch at these odds is a little insane to me. Even fight maybe but not at these odds. Lets not forget Maia was a 185er not to long ago.

I thought I was the only one on this forum that was liking Maia as a dog. I cap this at evens, and being that Maia hung with Munoz, Sonnen and DHK, I don't see how anyone can lay $$$ on Fitch at -200. That is a square bet if I've ever seen one, but maybe I am just missing something....

Betting on Maia is laughable. He's a novice on his feet, and extremely adept on the ground. Jon Fitch will not let Maia take him down, if he does, he has enough ability to get back up. Don't let the Hendricks fight fool you. Good punch. Fitch would of grinded him pretty good.
In my estimation, Fitch should be at -300.

that fight against DHK really showed how strong maia is in the clinch
that injury was no fluke
Kim is a beast in the clinch; he is probably most comfortable in that position and owns people in the gym from there.
Yet maia was able to put enough pressure and torque kim's body in a way that his body was not accustomed to
a Kenyan marathon runner doesnt trip on his own feet, a pornstar doesnt break his rooster when he's thrusting, and DHK, who has logged thousands of hours in the clinch position, does not throw out his own back
