BetCris assumed the non-US balances of BetonSports along with the V-Wager group.

I doubt that anyone would want to buy BetIslands, however. Their brand is virtually worthless. Sportsbetting.ag and BetonSports had been around for quite a long time before being bought out.

I don't think things will end well for BetIslands punters.

Not necessarily, and many of them are dormant accounts. I am not a big time gambler but I have not bet anywhere but BI in a year. Now, I have 50 books to choose from where do I go?? The answer is I go to the book that gives me something for this account.

I would also be willing to deposit real money with a rollover to any book that would honor the BI balance with a rollover. E.G. you have to rollover your BI balance 10X, then also rollover your deposit 5X, before you can withdraw anything.

There is a way for some book to make it work. Anyone who says BI has a higher percentage of sharps is nuts. Their bonus structure is just not sustainable and makes fools look sharp. You give out a huge freeplay, half the people that get it lay it all on one game. Win that, bet the amount in your account that YOU DIDN'T EVEN DEPOSIT on a game or two. Win those, you've tripled your deposit, start betting more aggressively, and most importantly, able to meet the rollover a lot faster before you start saying "send me $950" every week. Hell, if you hit two winning bets off their freeplay amount, you can go 50% from that point until you meet the rollover and cash out nearly TRIPLE what you deposited.

Long story short, most of the "sharps" at BI ain't going to look very sharp without those bonuses.
