I'm told I'll be paid my 6 or 7K next week as well. If so, I will give Actionbets some action during football season. Can't have everyone skipping out at the same time. In the past I would have cursed any 'delinquent' book, but this is just different.
Safe to continue wagering at Actionbets?

#40Thanks. Did receive my money today as well, so that's 5K. Coming back to the topic's title, I do think Actionbets is safe to bet with.
This is just my -oversimplified- impression. They lean more towards the booksmart than the streetsmart side. You probably know what I mean. A lot of books just ooze streetsmart. Actionbets got f*cked because they weren't streetsmart enough. But they have more honorability than most streetsmarts would in the same situation, so they bit the bullet, learned their lesson, and are now a more balanced book for it.
(I know a streetsmart book, with a B rating, that makes me much more uncomfortable in terms of fair dealings than Actionbets ever did.)Comment -

This is what they said after the investigation.
"Dear XXXXX,
We have completed the review of your wagering account.
The investigation has provided irrefutable evidence showing your account to be part of a betting syndicate, abusing our bonus policies as well as other infractions.
As a result, your account has been closed, the balance within will be used to repay damages incurred due to this fraudulent activity.
Any questions may be sent to service@ActionBets.com

Actionbets will not responsing to any phone call except email about the investigation. The only syndicate is Actionbets and their crews stole my money and deposit. Post your evidences on this site. #44Though I cannot comment on the whole syndicate issue, I can say that I believe that ActionBets is once again a safe and reliable place to play. They paid me a large amount on Friday. I also requested a similar amount today and was paid in less than 90 minutes. Although no one likes to be slow paid, I do respect the honesty that Jason and Aden displayed during this slow pay period. I think ActionBets is just fine and I would certainly re-up for NFL. Now...if only they would send me another bag of that wonderful coffee.....Comment -

#49Wow. A book that closes a player's account for abusing bonus policies and other violations of their T&C. Except in this case we have a new twist...Instead of just confiscating the bonuses and winnings from the bonuses, ActionBets has declared that they will confiscate the entire balance to "repay damages incurred".
Enjoy that 'D-' because sportsbooks are not allowed to confiscate funds just because some players violated their little rules or whatever.

#53basically the money is lost
they won't pay and there is nothing anybody can do. We are looking at 5 digits $$ (from mapletree). Why pay when you can stiff out another batch next season?? Adam got fired from the company. What was his reason for firing? He's the inside man. Employee got fire, company went down, blame on the players.
the funny thing is that company didn't pay anyone for weeks. Does that mean all players are part of syndicate or due to finanical problem? If it is the syndicate problem, then isolate them and pay all other players. But noooo, hold all players money until investigation is done.
enough said. Beware of your money.Comment -

#54I'm not a bonus scammer. I'm willing to forefeited my bonus before the investigation ever started. Actionbets would not let me make any withdraw until i have complete my 10x rollover requirement. Actionbets needs to do the right and pay all your players. "Syndicate" is an excused not to pay. What is the purpose of us send them picture id and 2 documnets???? A crook is a crockComment -

I do trust Aden, but he's not the decision maker, so we also need Bill to have access to the financial and betting records of the 'syndicate'. To present something as 'irrefutable evidence' is one thing, but the judgement in a serious dispute should be left to a third, neutral party; not to the prosecutor.Comment -

#57There are a few reasons why ActionBets needs to finish paying. The most important being that ActionBets Adam solicited many of these players who were getting reload bonuses. Their employee got away from them.
I think the players with balances (who can provide all ID docs) would agree to forfeit bonuses and winnings from bonuses and end this. There are players with 18k in their account. These funds can't be confiscated based on assumptions.Comment -

I like dark stories...
Apparently, players who were recently paid were paid from confiscated accounts. My guess is Actionbets may be paying honest players first, and then deal with the 'syndicate'; as opposed to putting everybody on the same waiting list. I strongly doubt that they would simply confiscate funds, because that would destroy their reputation like nothing else.
If Actionbets has enough of an 'in' with SBR, they know that they won't be dropped to F as long as the discussion is ongoing. So by playing it this way, they send syndicates a strong signal to stay away, while buying time, and assure that their reputation/grade is the same when the syndicated players are paid a few weeks from now (players were recently promised payments in one week, which was then pushed back to three weeks). Just a guess.Comment -

I wish you guys the best, but you have to realize that you can never win the argument that you can confiscate accounts. To win that argument is to lose credibility among gamblers; the very people that ensure your success. Pay the guys, be done with it, and forget about it. In the long run you'll be the better for it.Comment -

#65I think what needs to be done is for Aden to show ALL the information they have and the reason for not paying these players. If what he has shows guilt beyond a resonable doubt I have no problem in Action Bets keeping the player(s) money. If they are not able to show beyond a reasonable doubt that the player(s) was scamming them they should pay the player(s) his money minus the bonus he received.Comment -

#67I find this to be a fascinating thread, and one which I am visiting daily. I'm but one poster, but to get back to the original thread question of whether it's safe to wager here, I'm inclined to say no...Actually, maybe it is safe, as I understand they've been around a few years and have a decent history, or at least they did before this whole unravelling mess. The question I have after reading all this is not really are they safe, but why the hell would anyone bother taking a chance with this outfit in light of all this?
Surely you'd have to feel a lot safer with regards to your coin if it were in a number of the old standbys, those being Pinnacle, Greek, Cris, Jamaica, etc...And I can't recall a single instance whereby one of those sites swooped in and eradicated a player's entire balance for the increasingly popular "syndicate" allegation. Stunning, really.Comment -

#68You sent us emails to offer us the bonus and gigantic 12x rollover. We play for more than 4+months, nothing happens. But then we finallly won big, you accuse us of this and that and part of the syndicate and dont pay us a penny because they use the confiscating money to pay for the investigation. Not only that, they fired Adam, their own employee, our only alliby, to cover up their financial's trouble. To my fellow gamblers, do you think that is justified? I dont think so. Actionbets has no right what-so-ever to confiscate the full balance. Damn you Actionbets.Comment -

#69here's the way I see it...Aden is a good dude, have had some dealings with him...seems genuine and all...Jason appears the same way...but being a good dude and being a good business man/ associated with a good business are two different things...I do respect that Aden's tried to come on here and defend his position, but it just appears he continually tries cover up for a management team of thieves...either that, or he's in on it (which I don't want to believe), but it's definitely a possibility...I think the best option for actionbets would be to pay everyone out and close up shop...no more people would get hurt...I doubt that's going to happen...they'll continue to limp along until they just owe so many people money that they'll have to shut down...Comment -

I mean, why on earth would anyone just play with books that you know with absolute certainty are going to pay you, no matter what? Don't you want an adrenaline safety valve in case the games get boring?
The reason I decided to leave some money in the account for football is that I know these are good people, and they deserve a second chance. However, if accounts do get confiscated I would withdraw my funds, because that is not how this business works. That would be the mirror situation of a gambler unable to pay his bookie, and blaming the book for having preyed on a personal weakness.
Actionbets is right in distancing themselves from a corrupt employee, but wrong in thinking that this distancing can be applied backwards in time. He may have been corrupt, but he was part of the family. Everybody in a business represent the business. Just ask Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos. The lesson is: be more careful about who you bring inside. There is no excuse, unless you're willing to let a killer off the hook because his trigger finger did it.Comment
