He took the points off the board because it was 4th down and the Niners' gained possession, Hawks were out of time outs, and SF could kneel on the ball and end the game.

Thanks! Had no business winning that. I get that they could just end the game with a single kneel. I've just never had action on a game or seen a game where a coach took pts off the board like that (made it a 2- possession game; made it IMPOSSIBLE for the Seahawks to win). It was just a very bizarre choice that took extra effort on his part. Extremely unusual.
