Jared Goff was rewarded with a massive contract extension after just three seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, signing a four-year, $134 million deal this week. It comes with $110 million guaranteed, which is the most in NFL history.

His signing bonus of $25 million is far more than Carson Wentz’s ($16.4 million) and he also gets $57 million guaranteed at signing – which is an important number in every contract.

much like matt ryan and shanahan, his success is tied to mcvay. but even worse because he even depends on coach to read defenses pre snap. he has a decent arm, but when it comes to the brees and brady of reading the play and making the right decision quickly, not a strength. brees, brady, rodgers etc can carry a team regardless of strong running game. he is not that class of player and probably never will be.
