Records don't necessarily translate into good/entertaining match-ups. If you're going to use records to base your statement on, you would have been better served to have phrased it differently. *Best* equates to *most anticipated*, and this game is not one that the majority of people have had circled on their calendar as a *must see*. I'll be watching because I'm a degenerate gambler... if this game had been yesterday, I definitely wouldn't have been gambling on it, or watching it.

I just rolled with Steelers -3.5 (+200) and 49ers TT under 20.5 (-105).

The Steelers have given up 21+ points only 1 time this year.

I had the Niners - 3, +102 that I bet on Friday when Big Ben's status was listed as a game time decision. Now that it appears he will be taking snaps, line drifted down to Niners - 2 1/2, so I hit it again.

Some reasons I like the Niners.

Willis is a big loss for 49ers at Linebacker, but offset by Steeler loss of Harrison.

I'm always impressed with how Roethlisberger can shake off injury, but when both your center (Pouncey) and QB are nicked up, well, that's cause for concern.

Niners 10-0 ats of a SU favorite loss.

Steelers 0-11 ats away in Dec vs an opponent off a SU and ats road loss

Niners 6-0-1 ats at home TY.

Niners 9-0 ats off SU upset loss, 7-1 as Dec host.

Niners 11-3-1 ats, + 121 1/2 pts ats last 14

Smith can look shaky at times but still 15 tds vs 5 picks.

Niners Defense (14ppg) + 21 TOs, will force Ben to beat them in the air, on the road. We've all seen Ben do some amazing stuff while injured, but this is more often the case at the comforts of home, with rabid fans cheering him on.

Yes, 49ers choked on the road last week and couldn't hold on to 19-7 lead. Smith sacked 5 times and looked bad. They have a history of bouncing back and should have a strong showing in final reg. season home game. Steelers offense looked weak also last week. Only notched 2 tds against a struggling Brown team, even when home.

Yes, Ben has proven he can hang tough, but will he last? Will Tomlin pull him if he gets gimpy, thinking better to have healthy for playoffs? Who likes Steelers +3 with Batch on road?

Would Jim Harbaugh like to help his brother John tonight? I think the Niners will look sharp tonight in their last reg season home game and will consider this a playoff primer. Steelers will be playing for the win, but Tomlin has to be concerned about risking his qb on the road when he is not 100%.
