Max,
Funny, I like both unders as well ... seems the only thing we disagree on is the Bears game, which I've just played cautiously. My worry for you there is that Chicago can't win big but the Packers clearly can ...
In any case, I know you've done your due diligence. Best,

I don't get your reasoning that the Bears can't win big but Packers can? A run back from Hester, a Rodgers INT or fumble.... if Cutler is having a hot day... Bears could blow out the Pack at home. I don't think it's necessarily going to happen, but I think Bears have as much of a chance blowing out the Packers as the Pack does the Bears. I think this game is a toss up and will be close. I see some value in taking Bears ML at +175.

I havent been this excited for some football games in awhile. These matchups look so awesome on paper. Unfortunately, usually when games are hyped up this much they tend to not live up to the billing. Hope thats not the case this weekend.

Just read all 26 pages of this thread.. Quite a journey.
Shows the difference that determination, hard work.. and great resolve can do.
THanks Max..
I agree with your pix this weekend.. Greenbay bogs down on this 3rd road game and i believe Jets will be emotionally spent after avenging the 45-3 asswhipping a few weeks ago. Last weekend was their superbowl.
I see a pitt whipping and a tight tight Bear game.
Good luck to all.

I am playing Bears and Steelers too. Chicago sports radio reporting that Harris has an injured hip, will start though. Do not forget Major Wright is also playing hurt as well.
"CHICAGO -- Chicago Bears safety Chris Harris (hip) is active for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game and will start.
It will be interesting to see how long Harris lasts in this game. As Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reported, Harris has a torn muscle in his hip and needed a pain-killing injection Sunday morning. Rookie Major Wright will be available in reserve.
As expected, Bears tight end Desmond Clark will play in this game after being deactivated for 11 games during the regular season. As a result, the Bears have four receivers and four tight ends active for this game.
Here are the Bears’ eight inactive players:
Quarterback Caleb Hanie
Receiver Devin Aromashodu
Safety Craig Steltz
Defensive back Joshua Moore
Running back Kahlil Bell
Offensive lineman Herman Johnson
Offensive lineman Edwin Williams
Defensive lineman Marcus Harrison"
Compared to the Pack, this is nothing but having Harris hurt is not good.

Bears +3.5=Lose
Steelers =3.5=Win
Documented ATS Record to date: 40-22-2
Playoff ATS: 7-1
I still stand by my Bears +3.5 selection. I don't and won't whine about officiating, but I think it clearly favored the Packers in key situations. Not to mention a horrible play call on third and three as the Bears were driving for the tying TD with one minute left. The Bears defense did an excellent job on Rodgers and the Pack offense, as they only gave up 14 points offensive points, all of which were scored in the first half. Its a shame that the Bears have a pussy of a QB in Cutler. A bigger "shame" for lack of a better term is that the third stringer outplayed Cutler...anyways..1-1 ATS to end the day. There was no denying me and the Steelers selection.
I WILL NOT BE DENIED IN THE SUPERBOWL. BANK THIS SH*T. I WILL FINISH THE PLAYOFFS 8-1***

The suspense is killing me...sportsbook.com has GB -2.5 right now. If that's the play, obviously I'd love to hit before it reaches -3. But I understand patience is key, and that's why I'm tailin you Max and not doing my own thing.
Thanks Max for some great picks! Have to be honest, I was with you on the steelers, but followed Riggs with the packers. But I was also on the under for the steelers/jets, so that sucked!

I'll talk it over with a few cappers I trust and see if we can determine which way the line will move.
If that can be determined then I could release the Superbowl pick sooner.

Do you think it's important that Ben was held scoreless the entire second half against 19 unanswered points with regard to analyzing the Super Bowl?
Or will the dynamics of the SB be different and make that irrelevant?

Thank you.
With regards to your question, that particular factoid is pretty irrelevant. The jets adjusted their defense in the second half which resulted in 0 second half points.
Let's not forget Rodgers was also held scoreless in the second half. Neither Big Ben nor Rodgers played particularly well.
As far as the analyzing the match up for the Superbowl game, its a whole different ball game and brings on unique perspectives and dilemmas as it pertains to capping.
When I do analyze everything and come up with a pick..Im confident ill have a winner.

I provide winning picks. At 65% ATS on the season its up to the individual how much units they want to bet. I think everyone can decide how they want to manage and space out their bets.
All I was saying is that at 65% on the season and 7-1 ATS playoffs, odds were hugely in our favor that Pittsburgh would cover the spread.

Wouldn't hitting 65% and being 7-1 in the last 8 put the odds against you?
