It's very rare I find a preseason pick that I like, but this one just has too much value to ignore. I'm going to go ahead and get an early start to my season with a play tonight, please keep in mind that I've never played a preseason game before so this may not go as well as regular season plays do. Nonetheless, I've got to go with this one, here's what I like tonight:
Colts/Packers OVER 23 First Half
We'll start with playing time for starters. With no major changes at head coach since last preseason, I assume that I can use Week 3 of last preseason as an indication of what to expect as far as playing time goes. Well, in 2009, Aaron Rodgers played up until halftime, even coming out for a final touchdown drive despite his team leading by 21 points at the time. Even if the Packers found themselves up 21-0 near halftime in this game, I feel pretty confident we'd be seeing him out there with a chance to lead a drive for our over. However, I doubt we see this, as Peyton Manning also played the entire first half last season in the Colts' Week 3 preseason game. Given that the starters should be playing all game, I feel great from that angle. The reason I feel great about that - both Quarterbacks are leading elite offensive units. The Packers lit up the scoreboard last preseason, and are following suit this year as they've been nearly unstoppable on the offensive side of the ball, with Rodgers leading the first string offense to four touchdowns in about two quarters of action. The Colts have been flying high too, in very limited playing time Manning has led the Colts to 24 points so far this preseason. Although each team has been playing pretty weak competition, even against the better defenses they'll be seeing tonight they should be able to get at least 24 points on the board before halftime rolls around. I'm not entirely sold on the Packers' pass defense yet anyways, as last season their strong numbers could be attributed to the very weak schedule they played. The forecast for tonight's game is clear skies and light wind, you couldn't ask for better scoring conditions. I'm expecting in the neighborhood of 37 points by halftime, it should be a fun game to watch! Good luck to anyone who wagers on this game tonight, hopefully we can get a win under our belt before the start of the regular season!
BOL tonight Kroy. If your play hits I have a good shot at my full game over.

No problem, happy to help! Please excuse the fact that you haven't gotten the play by email yet, I'm having some serious technical difficulties with gmail. Basically my mailing list has gotten so big that when I try to send a message out in bulk google thinks I'm spamming and rejects it

Damn, Jennings a late scratch, but shouldn't matter all we need is a 14-10 halftime and idk about you guys but that sounds really low to me for these two teams!
Very nice writeup followed by a nice and easy win! Congrats

Thanks guys! Great precursor to the regular season, who knows maybe I'll find one or two more I like before then. If not, I'm officially pumped for Week 1
Looks like no plays tonight, my closest was Saints/Chargers 1H OVER 21.5, but last year in this week neither team's starters played the entire first half. No use rolling the dice in case either offense struggles, I'll just wait! GL to anyone who wagers on anything tonight!
Kroy, I'd like to receive the plays via email as well, but it won't let me send you a pm..how can I get on your email list?

No more PMing me email addresses, SBR frowns upon this practice. Poke around my profile and you may find a way to email me eventually, but I'm being as good about this as possible so I stay on the Mods' good side
lookin forward to your picks and insight this upcoming football season kroy

Wish I had gone with my Chargers/Saints 1H OVER lean, oh well I didn't see a ton of value and only won by one score. No need to force anything, we'll get our fair share of plays in once the season gets going! I'll be sure to get a look at tomorrow's game and let everyone know if I have a play.

Hahaha thanks man, appreciate you pointing everyone in the right direction while I'm away!
I was just wondering... Do you bet all your plays the same? Some people have 1 unit, 2 unit, and 3 unit plays and I was wondering if you do that, or if you just flat bet your plays?

Hey Kroy I am going to send you an email sometime today.
Hey man never heard from you today, hope to hear from ya soon since I don't have your email and can't really contact you on my own. Congrats on another good night, know you're doing well when a 2-1 night brings your win % down!

I actually flat bet everything, if I recommend it I'm confident in it, I'm really not any more confident in one play than another
