I can't get the Oakland +4 -105 at my Book. They are offering Oakland +3 +110 at the moment. Should I wait for the last minute or pass that game up? Thanks!

I would play it at +3 YES. I actually like Oakland on the Money Line but I play all the pre-season games utilizing the spread. Oakland is 4-0 straight up in their first pre-season game the past 4 seasons and they are 0-4 in their last pre-season game the past 4 seasons. For some reason they play well the first pre-season game dating back to 2005.

according to my data, when CAROLINA is on the road it's 7-2-1 OVER in the last 5 yrs of preseason. The average TOTAL in these games is 38.5. They are on a 5-0-1 run, and hold a 6-1 OVER road mark in the first half of the preseason, during this 5 year span..
I am not sure what CAROLINA is doing in these games, I just know DEFENSE isn't one of them, they gave up 23.67 pts during their 6 game OVER streak, and 21.73 in the last five years of preseason.

It looks to me like CAROLINA is not very good in the preseason on the road, THEY ARE ON A 5 GAME ROAD LOSING STREAK!! (1-4 ATS, and the cover was a 3pt loss on a 4 pt spread).

The Ravens during the past 5 pre-season's which is a span of 19 games have played to the under at a rate of 74% (14un-5ov). Thats enough for me to not buck the trend but rather ride a under clip of over 74%. BOL

I do not have a exact record for the NFL but I was arount 62% all season. In NCAAF I was 18-3, +79 units SU and 14-7, +87.5 units ML. Those totals are calculated with each play at 5 units. If you have read my threads you know i only have about 30-40 plays in College ball per season.

NCAAF is my best wagering sport. During last season in the NFL I was up and down and my win% was up and down but I believe I finished right about 62% or so.

BUT if you have any questions or would like a write-up for any of my plays or if there are any other plays/games you would like more information about please ask and I will be more than happy to give you the very best information that I have.

I will leave this up to the readers. If it makes everyone feel more comfortable about my plays if a write-up is included with the plays I will find the time to post the write-ups. If the majority do not really care about write-ups then I will only post upon request. I havent been posting for a long time so not real sure what people prefer. Please chime in and let me know. Also is a new weekly thread the best way to go or just keep the same thread for the entire season. With one thread it can be bookmarked and with a new weekly thread there wont be as many posts to go through. Just some ideas/questions to make it better for everyone who reads this thread.

I was asked a question in a PM what I thought about Baltimore defeating the Panthers on the 12th and I will answer that here.

Carolina is 3-10 ATS in their last 13 pre-season games dating back about 3 years. Baltimore seems to have had more desire to win in the pre-season than the Panthers I just feel with the information that I have the UNDER is the stronger play. BOL

I like concise write ups, too. However you got to do what's best for you, if it takes time from capping, then you can't. I wish you luck on Balt/Carolina under, but I'm staying away as Jay Trotter pointed out. My info shows Carolina has played in 6 straight road overs in August. I didn't have the Balt under info. Do you ever use teasers on games, sides or totals?

I do not use home/away trends to much in the pre-season and i believe those are road trends for the Panthers. Also my sample size for balty of 19 games (74% Un) is a little larger than a sample size of 6 road games.

I do not think you should put to much emphasis on home/away trends during the pre-season. Here is the Panthers pre-season O/U trends backtested for the past 5 seasons:

2009: 2un, 2ov
2008: 0un, 4ov
2007: 3un, 1ov
2006: 4un, 0ov
2005: 0un, 4ov


The total for the Panthers is 9un, 11ov from previous 20 games the past 5 years of pre-season. The Ravens game total has been under the number in 74% of their pre-season games using a 19 game sample the past 5 years. I wouldnt put to much weight in regards to home/away situations in the pre-season, IMO
