DeAngelo Hall cut from the Raiders!
In shocking news, DeAngelo Hall will be cut from the Raiders. Raiders are looking bad, and are looking to cut some cost. If they cut him now, they will not have to pay him 16million in the postseason if they decide to keep him.

I consider him one of the top 10 DBs in the league. I'm very surprised they are making this move. He is more of an asset then Russel (some will argue he is still young), or even Javon Walker. Just another piece of the Raiders going down the toilet. Is this a move to try and get #1 pick next year? haha
Do they have any money left to actually turn this team around in the next 3 years?

eidolon, if you think he is a top DB then you have not watched a single Raider game this year. He is complete garbage that gets picked on the entire game and I couldnt be happier!

I'm sure a lot of ppl feel the same way. But I'm also sure if ppl didn't know who Randy Moss was, and they watched him play for the Raiders they would be saying the same thing. The Raiders organization has been horrible since 2001

Moss gave up on plays all the time, but you could make the argument for him that he never had a QB that could get him the ball or give him chances to make plays (like you could argue for Walker so far)

What is Hall's excuse? Covering your man is covering your man no matter what the circumstances. And the guy just failed miserably. He played off every single down, and by off I mean literally 5 yards behind the receiver, giving the QB an easy uncontested target every single down. When he did press, as seen on Atlanta's second TD, the press would get broken immediately and would result in a big play. Was he better as a Falcon? I'm sure he was. Will he be better wherever he goes? Maybe. But I'm very very very happy to see him leave.

Asomougha doesn't seem to have a problem covering his man, and he's playing the same position on the same team (against the #1 receiver, no less)
