    what does "pk, -1/2" mean?

in some NFL lines, there are things such as "pk, 1/2 -150". what does that mean? there are separate lines with just pk and -1/2 by themselves

pk means your pick. its even no points just straight up.
-1/2 means they have to win. a tie will result in you losing.

pk does not mean pick. it is a "draw no bet" type of wager.

-1/2 of course means that that particular team needs to win by at least 1 pt to cover

bet amount is separated - half goes to pk and another half goes to -1/2

well, thats how it is in soccer. i think it is the same in football (NFL)

ssmann, what you are referring to is called an "asian handicap" and is more prominent in soccer.

    Heres how it works:

When you see the line PK, +1/2 -150:
Whatever you bet gets divided by 2 with half of the wager being at a PICK and the other half being +1/2.

For example, lets say you bet $100 on the Raiders PK, +1/2 -150

You would have $50 to win $33.33 on the Raiders PK and you would also have $50 to win $33.33 on the Raiders +1/2.

Hopefully that explains it for you.

it means that what ever book you are using look for the drop down menu to change the odds to a format you understand

1/2 is just that you wager 2 to win 1
    no clue what hf is

I think that the "hf" means you can bet the halftime score at different odds than final score. I've seen that on some soccer action.
